Rings - How To Get 254 Rings
Submitted by Pokemonmaster888
Well, the max high score for rings for Sonic Heroes - Mystic Mansion - Team Sonic is now 254 rings. It used to be 242 rings. 242 rings isn't really that hard to get, so this guide will tell you where the newly discovered 12 rings are located.
Once you have gotten every ring possible so far in the stage up to the room where you encounter the 2nd bobsled that also has a checkpoint, the guide will be of use to you. It starts below.
In the said room above, go to the edge of the chasm and jump off, not entering the bobsled. Turn around in midair as you fall, and you should see an opening leading to a room. Go inside, and you'll find yourself in a room that is blocked by lasers on the other side. If you know Mystic Mansion well, you can figure out that this is the way Team Dark goes to get to the bobsled. In the room with the giant robot with a protective helmet, they go through the door up the stairs and follow the path to end up at this point, instead of going down the vetical tunnel to end up where Team Sonic would be, at the checkpoint. Okay, getting back to the room where I am talking about.
Now, you should see a Fly Formation switch that you have to pull out in mid-air. Pull it, and you should see a light dash trail of 12 rings appear. Those are the sneaky 12 rings that you are aiming to get. Use the light dash technique to get them, but for some reason, you may miss two on the trail when you do this, which are the last two on the trail. To get all of them in an efficient way, right when you light dash, hold the control stick backwards and button-mash the light dash button. You will stop in midair and get the elusive two rings when you reach the top of the trail, most of the time. You should get on the bobsled, and carry on getting the rest of the rings like usual. The rest of the rings are easy to get, so you should have no problem getting the rest.
Well, that is the end of this guide. I hope that you understood my expanation of how to get 254 rings. Have fun!
