FE Speed

i have achieved 55 seconds for Final Egg and i will reveal how i did it

Part 1
Begin by spindashing repeatedly forward (you should just go through the lasers no need to jump over them). Then as you hit the boosters to go up the slope make sure sonic is spinning then as he is leaving the slope press B to cancel the jump from going any higher this will allow you to land on the floor and continue quicker. Then hit the checkpoint should be between 4-5 seconds the best i got was 4.2x something. Now just spindash like mad until you you go up the slope and hit the springs at this point the floor slopes upwards charge a spindash on the slope and you should get the jump high enough so you can bounce on 1 of the electric enemys and land on the highest platform then jump to hit the spring.

Now hold forward (hitting the checkpoint will was 1-2 seconds) to land on the moving platform charge a spindash then to to go forward right just past the first rolling crusher then you should just have enough time to charge another spindash and make it to the HUGE spinning floor then spindash out of the first rolling circle while holding forward of course at this point as soon as you hit the ground you should be between 20-23 (i can hit the ground at 18) but then madly spindash into the next moving circle (you will need to control Sonic precisely in order to get sonic from here to part 2 of final egg without losing any speed) just spindash through the moving circles while hitting the turbo boosters until your out and into part 2 of Final Egg

Part 2
IF you can get to part 2 at between 25-28 you will prob get a sub 1 minute run. Now as soon as your in part 2 turn around so sonic is directly facing the camera straight as possible then do a quick double spindash to go up the passage the same way sonic entered part 2 as soon as you leave the passage sonic will be falling. This is your cue to pause the game and switch it to free camera mode then you will see sonic falling make sure your heading in the direction of the wall you can see (Since Sonic Team was unaware of this glitch its possible to use as a major shortcut on the GC Version only DC users hit an invisible according to Rusty) once your through the wall you will see a tube passage that you can drop through but drop a little further and you will see another passage fall through it and spindash through the obstacles you should hit the check at between 35-38 then spindash over the platforms without jumping so you dont land on any of the lower platforms before another drop when Sonic lands on the circular platform there will be a an elevator to carry you down to part 3 of Final Egg but instead of going inside the elevator jump a little and fall down the hole sonic will enter part 3 but lose a life but you save 5 seconds or so

Part 3
After you perform the shortcut to enter Part 3 sonic will magically be in the elevator again. As it's coming down switch to Free Camera as soon as the elevator door opens jump ontop of the Elevator (Another Huge shotcut here)face right here then spin dash and jump while holding forward as soon as you leave the fake wall hold Up/Left on your control stick for 1 second then hold Up for 3-4 seconds then let go (you might wanna keep pausing the game at this point) if done right Sonic will land in the room where the capsule is if you practice the timing right of when to let go of the Control Stick you can land on the Capsule directly.

This is the same strat i came up with to clear this level in 55 seconds. Enjoy ^_^
