Actually, your english is quite good.

Welcome to the site. We don't take score attacking as seriously as time attacking, but people like to compete in different things, so that's why it's up there!

EDIT: You're a member now :o

SMACK ME IN THE FACE WITH A TIRE IRON =)

Yeah, as Ninty said, Times are better ranked here than Scores, but I do a bit of Score Attacking too :o

And by the way

Ich sprechen sie Deutsche, aber mein deutsch ist nicht so gut, weil ich Englisher bin.

Quite likely, that was completely wrong, but anyhoo.

Welcome :)

So far, score doesn't have any weight in the rankings, but once TSC 3.5 is done, that will change. IIRC, the score/ring weight changes was one of our top items on the things to do list (behind fixing the videos and SAdv3 Unidivision. I forget what we agreed on, but I think it went by this:
-3D (mostly SA2 and SH): Equal to time (or near equal) since a lot of people agreed that score attack and time attack took equal amounts of skill to do well.
-2D: Half weight since time is essential to score in these games.
-Rings: .25 weight in all games.
Ever know what its like to get pwned by a book? Sonic certainly does.

Hey T.A. I remember you from the Sonic Heroes board on GameFAQs, you posted in that Highscore topic, IIRC. Well, welcome to the site.

Eww, score and rings are actually gonna get weighed into the rank equation? That is so dumb IMO. Sonic games are about getting the highest score, it's about getting the fastest times.

Actually, it's an interesting concept. It gets people to be more than fast. They need to be strategic about their speed. Or the rings.

Oh yeah, welcome to TSC, don't cheat, yada yada yada.
<Tails> also "GET BLUE SPHERES" on a black-and-white TV remains the best special stage of all time

I thought we had a much more simple solution:

3D: Equal weight to time
2D: No weight - as on short levels it's just another time ranking
Rings: No weight.

Besides, 0.25s and that look really ugly.

Oh so since I mainly play 2D and advance games it won't really factor for me at all.

Deutsch ist eine very difficult language. (^.^)

Well, I think Sonic Heroes is better for Score Attack, because of the whole Teamplay (Power Formation, Score-Bonus if you destroy many enemies)...

Let's see if I make it into the rankings.

@sonicam
Hello, buddy!
Bey the way: I'm better than you at Sonic-Seaside Hill... ;-P

:o Uh, well, I kill every enemy and speed through the stage. You gotta be stategic when killing enemies and try to get more than one combo to get 2000 points. So if you kill enough enemies and you haven't gotten the +2000 pts, wait a bit till you get it and then go and kill more enemies since the bouns points don't overloop when they should. :( I realized this and I was able to get 80760. I don't think I'll be able to match SJ nor magnum in that level unless I really try hard... :(

Just remember the numbers 5 and 3 when score attacking. (It's up to you to figure out the significance of those numbers.)

5 is the combo required for a 2000 bonus IIRC.

3 is  the levels your team needs to be for the maximum bonus at the end.

Finishing fairly quickly's not bad either :o

The level thing was correct, but I was refering to how much time you have to destroy another enemy before the combo bonus stops. (I think its 3 seconds, I'm not sure.)
