Do YOU have Sonic R, the network patch and the Win 95(gasp) or 98 OS? If yes, reply to this topic! So far I have played against Kogen (who got served by me) and sonichero (who totally kicked my ass :( ), but two players at a time is boring!

So I'm hoping this topic will help creating a game of 4 players. =P

If the game works on XP then the network patch should work too.

I have it for PC as well as Saturn, not sure about if I have the network patch though, plus I'm hopeless with online servers =p
Did you not think I had a mind?

SM: no.

RPGnutter: why don't you look if you have it? =P also, it's really easy to connect, you just need to enter the IP of the person who created the game/room.

Even if XP didn't break the networking, I'd be about 90% sure that SP2 would, since it's reported to break less-well coded networking, and Sega PC games have notoriously bad code.

The network patch doesn't work on 2000/XP. I'm going to try installing 98SE on my desktop in a dual boot configuration later.

Thats easy, all you have to do is visit this link

http://www.sega.com/support/pcdownloads/so...atch/sr_net.exe

after that you go onto the chatroom and if me or anyone with the patch is there ask them if the would like to play with you.

I'm guessing you use WinXP, re-read the first post.

Thank you F-Man, you've revived my part of the forum. ^_^

However, I don't have Sonic R... :(

K, today I had the idea of installing WinXP on this computer, so I did it.

In other words, I won't be able to play Sonic R online for a few days. Not as long as I transfer one of the hard drives from my other computer to this one and make a dual-boot configuration like GS did. :(
