I was just playing Sonic Generations 3DS, and trying to improve my Tropical Resort Classic TA.
However, after the first huge loop in the level, I activated the flame wisp. Somehow, I created a lot of lag. When I tried to get on the thing that flings you forward, I passed straight through it and continued to fall through the stage as long as the flame wisp was activated.
I wish I could reproduce this....  This has NEVER happened to me before.

If you're talking about going into the background, no; I was still in the foreground.
I've been neglecting learning the glitch, and just been doing glitchless runs of that level :P
No, everything just turned pass through.
