zealous isn't really around anymore. He's a well-known and trusted dude among the older members of TSC though; his times are genuine.

I still don't believe his Techno Base 2 time, I've been searching for hours and I can't find a path that will net me that kind of time!

Cos I know I can beat him if I knew the correct path...

Ahem

It's not just the correct path

technique is important 2. I dont own sonic advance 2, so I wouldn't know the different moves everybody can perform

the best thing to do is this

find out every single move you can do with one of the characters, that you cant do with anyone else!

What can you use these moves for?

When are they best used?

Deciding when and where to use these moves can greatly improve your times.

so ya

there are a few more tricks that can improve your time, but you can find that out on your own

I run my own route as perfectly as can be. My problem isn't technique, it's what path I'm taking, if you look at his comment, he even says he "found a great path."
Not to mention all of his other TB2 times are around there, too. I spent 3 hours searching for where he could've gone, I could at least get a hint. >_<

BTW Macman

Hot Crater 1 (Cream): 55:76
That times fake

also, the times on the japanese site that sadistic mystic posted prove that tecnique is good too! They most likely used the same route as Zealous. But with tecnique, they were able to improve that time by 8 or so seconds

Oops, your right, it was a typo. It's really 55:78. Let me go fix that. And if you want proof, I'll scan my GBA. XP

Macman, Sonic+Amy's rail jumping technique is a HUGE part of it.I have come close to below 1 minute. I don't have the route down though, I usually get about 1:07 when I finish. My lowest time in that level is 1:05:67.

I HOPE YOU DO

Hmm, thanks, I may just try that. I figured it slowed you down too much to be worth it. You are talking about the A button at the end of the rail, right? Or are you referring to their ultra fast trick moves?

Heh

Don't worry

I figures that was a typo, seeing as how all of your other times were truthful

unlike some other people I know...

You know, I might as well come and defend myself...

There's a big squareish loop-de-loop around a special ring, after a platform with an invincibility item. When you're running downward, you need to jump off and do Sonic's double-tap forward boost thing (what IS that called, anyway?). You should sail over some spikes and a spring, and you'll also see a rail above you. You should land in a lower area. Keep going from there, and you'll eventually get to the rail that leads to the final special ring (slow down after the bouncing walls to insure that you hit the spring which leads to that rail). The end really isn't far from there.

I'm pretty sure that's the time-saver y'all are missing. It sure helped my time. Go ahead, try it!

And I'd be happy to share my Leaf Forest Act I strategy if you want.. I'd hate to be considered a liar here at TSC.  <_<

Ugh, after trying for 3 hours I finally beat your Techno Base 2 time with Sonic. I think I will quit for tonight... my thumb hurts.

That's kinda neat, though, because I went and topped your Act I, because I didn't realize until now that I'd been doing the first part all wrong. Ha!

Oh well. That last major update shot me into first... I stayed up until 6 AM improving the times that weren't in first. By God, it was worth it, though.

... Hey... Does anybody else hate Act II of Music Plant?
