Sonic Riders is actually good. Go buy it.

edit: On rankings, I'm thinking we should do it the way stats are recorded in the game; player-agnostic, based on TA/free/etc mode.

edit2: Also it is $40 so it's like you save $10! Or something.

Awesome.

Shame I have to wait 6 weeks for the UK release D:

But on the bright side the rankings should be up by then <_<
Did you not think I had a mind?

Hmm, perhaps I'll rethink getting Riders since it's not $50... Also, the TSC name for Sonic Riders is gonna be Riders right?
Chaos Emeralds: Yellow, Red, Green, Blue and Purple.

More like it will cost £40 so it's like you spend an extra $10... that is $10 more than usual, amounting to like a total of $25 more.

It might work.  I think that free race would be better than TA to compete on considering you can't ride on turbulence in TA and therefore seriously messes up time.

Just look at my Metal City single lap times:

In TA mode - 50.XX
In free race mode - 44.3X

In conclusion, turbulence means everything.  Period.
Me: Do you find it odd that CF's top two loves rank last in his Bouncy rankings? x_x
mike89: yes. yes i do.
mike89: but then i find CF odd.
Me: so do I.

The odds of meeting a TSCer randomly on the street, at any given time anywhere in the world, is approximately 15,785,611 to 1 ... and growing.

Riders rankings will be up as soon as someone comes in the chatroom and presents themselves as a guinea pig to make sure it's working. I added both TA and FR/GP rankings. edit: I don't have nearly a full roster of times, so I can't submit my own.

I don't know...my times are the other way around:

Metal City single lap times:

In TA mode - 42.45
In free race mode - 51.71

Of course, I've only played free race about 10 times, but I've only done TA about 15, so...I think there's something else. I think rings/levels play a large role too, since your air gauge gets larger when you increase levels (and therefore can perform more Boosts). Turbulence helps a lot on curves, though.

EDIT: Okay, I played free race again and got 47.67, but that's still slower than my TA lap time...

Hay guiz, I made a table showing how many points each game tracked by TSC is worth. You should go see it.
Also v2.0 of my TSC calculator is available to use. You should totally use it.
I update these every Monday around 2:30pm GMT.

While in general turbulence doesn't help me anymore as it makes it harder to hit gimmick and jump shortcuts, there remains the possibility that the right combination of turbulence might assist. I fear that there is probably a large random component to getting the best times with turbulence.

Usually, it's best to use Time Trial records (Remember F-Zero?),
but this turbulence thing sounds like a big part of the game.
Maybe you could have both (unless there would be too many charts).
If not, Time Trial is probably best. (I haven't played Riders, so... I'm not sure.)

It varies from track to track. In Metal City and Night Chase, turbulence helps. In Green Cave and White Cave, it's a hiderance. It varies from track to track.
