I'm wondering, how do you make a video out of games? Not the early ones which can be ROM'd, the current games (i.e. SA2B, ShtH)?

If you have a TV card on your computer, you could hook your console straight into that and use some funky software (some should come with the card, I guess) to record like that.

Or, if you have a VCR, you can record to that. Then you can transfer it to computer by a TV card, or if you dont have one you can send it to someone who has.

...TV Card? I actually do have a TV program on my computer, but my dad set it up (because we use a shared computer, which he occasionally uses), and moving our VCR from place to place would be a pain in the ass, even though I suppose that might be successful...

And how would I connect my Gamecube to my computer?

Depends on your TV card. Most likely, there is a port on the TV card for the yellow video plug. The red and white stereo sound plugs can go into your soundcard. Then, the software can show the image, and you can use something like Camtasia to record it.

I'm not exactly an expert on the subject, though.

Bah, it didn't work out as I had expected. The recorder in my TV program only works on recording and viewing my cable service, so I can't do this. Not only that, my dad is a security freak, so he felt somewhat opposed to the idea anyway.

I'll stick with not doing it, I guess...

All I did for my vids was point a digital camera at a TV.  They were low-quality, but at least it was something.  It's better than nothing, so try it and see what happens.
