Marathon Planning / Re: Schedule (Fourth Draft)

Thursday and Friday is no good for me since it looks like I'm still working on those days. Any other day is good unless something changes before the marathon. Of course I'll let you know if it does.

I don't know playing a game this time around, but If my schedule stays the same or I don't find another job by then, I'll be available for more of the marathon this time.

Wikkity! / Re: The Video Game Series With The Best Music?
« on: October 20, 2012, 05:35:02 am »
Katamari series by NBGI (NamcoBandaiGamesInc) hands down. With Yuu Miyake always being the lead music producer, this series has always had the best tracks since it's birth. I don't even need to play any future titles to know any of their complement soundtracks will be worth the money. I go in on full faith and I'm awarded with the sounds of extravagant wonders. This wasn't even a hard decision with the oodles of music I've collected over the years. Sure, the series isn't as lengthy as others (sonic :p), but I can say in full confidence that each soundtrack that has been released with these games (and they've done it with every game so far), I can listen to fully and not be disappointed.

I vote #2
I don't care about the speed glitch, new game sucks racing it, playing on ps3...whatever option wins out, I'm still racing. I'm for races getting popular, not an easy win for myself.
I raced with amy in advance 1 for crying out loud >_<

if anything you guys can try shorter goals since I remember longer sets used to turn people away (both sonic mini-marathon races). it always seems when trying for such a lengthy set, hype comes through until the reality sets in for those wanting to participate.
s3k was a nice start since I'm surprised even that many entered and it being glitchless to try for balance. now I'm not all for keeping all races glitchless though because even that can be a turnoff to some. now for this week, I'm sorry, but it's heroes for crying out loud. it was either going to be a low turnout or a lot of quits.
now here's the thing, as for participants, who are we aiming for? if it's tsc locals, then that's going to be an issue. most here don't have it in them to race a full game for various reasons. another problem was some that takes this too seriously. as soon as something doesn't go their way, it's a quit. we have all of these members, yet most are still reluctant to even come in the irc chatroom. that's just from us, but what about any outsiders? I never asked this, but are they welcome to join as well? to me, it wouldn't hurt at this point.
this might just be me, but how about more higher ups getting in if they're around. yes, having a judge of sorts to pay attention to what's going on is helpful, but if there's more than 1 around, how about entering the races just because. numbers do mean something and it does catch the attention of anyone around tsc and srl.
I had some other things on my mind, but I'm drawing a black.

News and Updates / Re: Charity Marathon Final Thoughts
« on: August 30, 2012, 04:45:42 pm »
I'll admit, I was a bit nervous when my run was coming up and even though my internet blew up during the last stage on me, I still had fun doing this.
Hopefully we can get more participants who can commit their time to stream or even just drop by to commentate (at least). Just seeing that this was possible should raise encouragement and seeing it was a success (we went beyond the initial goal) can hopefully spread our whereabouts and show TSC is still doing things.
Next time, maybe we can get some prize incentives going to help raise more donations (singing and sky patrol was good, but we need more).
More cams next time for that singing! (can't believe I was the only one that had mine up)

I wouldn't mind commentating.
I just don't feel comfortable volunteering to run anything until I get the equipment I need.
