I would say it makes sense, to have video proof for first-place stats - it's always useful when the record of a stage has a video so you can work more easily to beat it, and it's probably for the best that it's now a requirement so you know there are no fake stats.
However, I am still kind of unhappy with this new introduction - possibly due to that I submit photo proof for all of my stats already, and my previous attempts at spending money on and using video capturing equipment have all failed miserably, so this restricts my progress on certain stats and championships. Feels kind of like one of those "freemium" games where you have to spend money to be allowed past a certain point? Not to mention if someone happens to break a site record while not recording (as could probably easily happen especially on mobile games! Which are the thing I play most on this site!)
I appear to be in the minority on this issue though, so whatever works for the good of the site?
This rule change has a lot of interesting consequences, though. If I, for instance, got a ring stat that tied for record but with only photo proof (which under the new rule would be insufficient) would I need to submit my score as one ring less than that, or would that, as a fake stat, be treated as invalid, even if I have achieved better? one may be able to tell im not especially happy with the rule change

My predictions for 2015 are as follows:
1) Hyper will get a 0 point championship on S4EM.
2) I'll drag my S2-13 percentage up to 85%.
3) I'll try to get into a 3D Sonic game and get obliterated.
4) I will get top 150 site-wide.
5) Talon will do something cool.

Hey there! Welcome to TSC, it's a lot of fun here, once we get something fixed you'll be able to upload your times and scores to the website and compare them with others. There's a lot of help to go faster and get higher scores on pretty much every game, so while we wait you might want to collect up some times :D

Uh... do we have any idea of how close to fixed the submissions are? It might be useful to have a more accurate idea of when they'll be done, and it's been kind of a while.

Does this have anything to do with quite a few of the leaderboards breaking? I think it might be only the games and people whose stats were beaten who have broken leaderboard but I dunno. ._.

In the videos I've seen on YouTube of ring attacks on this level (as Sonic in particular) they pick up a lightning shield. When I get that shield, it seems to be... just a shield. Did the lightning shield get removed in an update? If so, what does this mean the new maximum ring amount is? And what about the leaderboards? (This probably also affects scores too.)

Sonic 2 (2013) has some really good records, if I may say so myself.
Flying Fox getting 368 rings on Chemical Plant 1 as Sonic? It's impressive.
...My time of 28.81 (EDIT: 28.46) (DOUBLE EDIT: 28.16) on Casino Night 1? I'd hope it's good, I worked on that one for a while ._.
Most of all though, Gvozdevik somehow getting sub-40 seconds on Chemical Plant 2 as Sonic alone? I haven't worked out how that's even possible. I've got to try and find that out, by the way...
And plenty of others. Wish I could list more. :/
