3rd week of August would be ideal for me. But it's not detrimental if it's some other week/month

Brokenarthritis and I have been recently streaming a lot of Sonic Adventure 2 Single Segment World record attempts. Recently he just broke the Hero story WR and I'm trying to beat it. I stream at http://www.twitch.tv/talon2461 and he streams at http://www.twitch.tv/brokenarthritis.

I would much rather wait until it's re-released, plus I'm sure more people would be interested in running it when the game gets re-released. (also my GC disk doesn't read half the time >_>)

The categories on the videos page are still 'Times' for 'Time attack' and 'Uber Times' for 'Times'. Might want to fix that when you have time.

I really enjoyed watching the marathon, both the gameplay and the commentary were brilliant (especially those memes). Congrats to everyone who streamed, donated and helped make the marathon successful in reaching and going over it's target.
In terms of a Christmas marathon. I think it is a good idea as many people I'm sure would love to see more

That means more for a challenge for us. Well, for me anyways. So i'll make a proof video of all my times, even though i know that it's just the screen. I haven't faked any of my times. I do have an action replay, but it broke and i put it in my attic.
I'm also thinking off making videos that aren't as fast as my times, but just good enough to stop people doubting my times. Is that good enough for the admins on the site?

Wow, i've been improving today beating a few of my records. I decided to play MH for a while as well as WC. They're getting better and so am i.
What's the best way to provide proof since i don't want anyone to think that i'm cheating.

Thanks PoT. It's been my gaming dream to compete with the best of the best at these games. So after school, i am going to go for CE1 and CE1 sub 1:40 and Sub 1:10. Then i need to get all orange times at least and hold at least 1 record. Most of my times i want to be in the top 10 but i really don't like the shooting levels since i think there too slow and boring IMO. The hunting stages are pretty fun and i shall try to get in the top 10 for them unless its a DC only glitch then i shall try to get in the red. The sonic and shadow levels i hope to be in the top 5 and maybe even get a record. I shall try to get all avadiable rings in the game and get ok scores. The bosses will be slightly annoying but i shall try.

Wow, i'm glad you think i'm in the elite group of players. I'm not fully experienced. Before i came to the site, i wasn't really good. My times would have barely been yellow apart from city escape and crazy gadget which i was pretty good at. I didn't even know how to do the most basic tricks until i watched yoshifan's videos. I always thought of him as my idol and i still do. I think he is awesome at anything that he tries. Not to down you and brian. You guys are a really close 2nd and 3rd and the tricks you guys find are awesome. I don't really find tricks, but i usually perform then really well like the loop trick, i can perform almost every single time or at the end of crazy gadget, i get to the goal 100% of the time, but i can never find a new trick.
I've seen that brian is really good. His GF1 time is awesome. How he did that is beyond me. I found it really close to call who is better. PoT's final rush time will be the best until the end of time (Until someone finds a glitch to demolish FR).
I think i am improving at a good pace, but i have trouble being consistent. Like it took me around 50 lives to get between 1:11-1:13 runs on CE3, but i'm sure that will come eventually. At the end of the year, I shall hold records for sonic and shadow. I have a few that i have spotted that i could possibly snatch eventually, but i can't really say before you guys improve it and basically leave me looking like a dick.
I have to start making videos, but my screen is messed up and my wii has some glitches on it which makes it useless. I think i'll start with a proof video showing my times so you actually know that i'm not BSing. But after that, i think i'll start with CE once i submit all my times. And get in the top 10 in the rankings for SA2B.
Anyways, I got a 2:02 on my PC1 run after around 30 minutes of playing it which i think is ok, but i made some horrible mistakes. Still cant get the door glitch to work, but i think i'll stick with just playing through it normally.

Thanks. It's just i need to be assured by an elite player. I wouldn't exactly say your rusty, but rather something like your almost in your best shape.
I'm glad you think of me as a challenging player, i'm probably the worst out of brian PoT and you (Lol), but with a bit of practice i'll get there. When you were good, wasn't there yoshifan to compete with.
So, i'll start to play PC1 and FR1 for a little bit. Good luck with CE and the rest of your SA2B times

1 52 92. Hmm, that seems like a far stretch from my 2:11, but your 1 35 video will help me get a sub 2 minutes. Can you see my SA2B times and see if there good, cause im not sure if they are.
I shall give CE a rest for now since 1 11 25 for CE3 and 1 44 52 for CE1 is good for now. My 2 11 on CE5 is pretty bad but i'll improve that after.
It looks like ur getting back to your old form rapidly, so you might beat your old record by the end of the year definetely. Never doubt yourself, you can do it.

So i had a go at CE1 again and the first time i tried i got 1:44 :). The only thing was that it is 1:44:52 which is not good enough to beat jawzun. 0.03 seconds slower. I got a 1:25 checkpoint at the end and had an awesome truck chase.
I still can't figure out how to get past the speed panels before the truck chase. When will the video be ready Brian cause i would really like to know
I shall try my PC1 time to be one of the fastest without the door glitch since i still can't get through it.

Ahhh man. 1:08 without even landing on the chao, yeah im pretty much screwed unless i practice all day 2day. Right now i'll aim to beat you but if i can't, 2nd is good enough.
I was going to do a PC1 run, but i can't get the glitch to work, so i'll probably just do a clean run and aim to sub 2 minutes

ahhh, So far i have done no better than my 1:11. The most annoying thing was, i had around 1:09 XX. and i missed the chao (Secretly cries).
So after failing for a an hour I MISSED THE FUCKING CHAO AGAIN, and ended up with 1:11:25. I shall try again for 2moz. How's urs coming along paragod

1:06 holy crap. I think my complete and utter best would be a high 1:07 or low 1:08. But that's with no mistakes throughout the whole run. My best 1st checkpoint time is around 36.3 which isn't too good, but i don't use the rails at the stair parts, I use the stairs and can always manage a high 36 with no mistakes.
The trick works for me most times. It's just sometimes i jump too late and the loop pushes me back so i can't homing attack on the spot.
I feel the same way. So even if i make a few mistakes i keep going because sometimes it works. I shall try to sub 1:09 before you get back to your peek and completely own CE3

thanks PoT. I shall try some of these and hope to sub 2:10. My best time right now is 2 19 which is pretty average for me. I know i could go lower but i'll try to focus on CE first
Thanks brian for the loop trick, now i can probably get the CE3 record before paragod (Yeah right). Or at least sub 1:10.
I was playing a bit of MH yesterday and found out how shit i am at it. I can barely even beat my old time of 1:20. I found a trick that is around a second slower than the rocket superbounce but is a LOT easier to pull off. I usually hit the spring at around 11-11:50. I get the 2nd checkpoint at 22, but get the last one at 44-45.
So, I managed a 1:11:65. this seems pretty bad, but i got a 37.8 checkpoint which i thought was crap. Looks like the loop trick worked, thanks brian. I shall try to sub 1:09 before paragod.

thanks brian. I've managed to cut my FR1 time down to 2:19 with no checkpoint abuse. I havent had time to do my CE5 run yet.
Hmm, i'll try CE1 again. I think i could get a sub 1:10 if i try really really hard, but before i never got the trick to work so my best is 1:36 which took me hours to do.
FR1 can get a bit annoying i'll point out the most annoying bits and see if there's any bits that you can help me with. At around 11-12. the spindash onto the rail is annoying since i usually miss it. The jump at around 29-30 seconds (As Brian pointed out) Is also annoying as well. The part at around 1:00 to make the jump from the first rail (Above the ring box and spring) and the second rail gets on my nerves as it messes up the run. The jump at around 1:11 - 1:12 to get to the platform with the artifical enemy i cant seem to do without a million tries. Near the end when you have to jump from the platform with the line of rings onto the rail, i always light dash even though i'm on the right. And at the last chase part, i can't get a smooth landing at the beginning. These are the main things that trouble me.
I shall try CE1 and hope to get sub 1:40 by the end of october. If not, i'll just try final rush until i break sub 2:10

So pretty much fail at getting sub 1 40 on CE1 with my best today being 1 47 02. A reasonable time, but i need it to get better than this. The truck chase really screwed me over. I managed 1 23 at the last checkpoint and then missed the first hill by somersaulting in the middle. I thought that i should also go for CE5's second place seeing as it is 1 55 and paragod's record isn't even touched.
FR1 seems to be difficult for me to break 2:20. Maybe after CE1 i'll give it a shot. I can't even imagine of breaking the barrier of 2:10. How you guys managed that is beyond me.
MH1 i never really properly did a proper speed run on. I played it for a day's practice, was happy with my 1:20 and then stopped.
The loop trick on CE3 is giving me a headache. I only get it when i'm practising. Is there any way of getting 90-100% sure?

I hate that feeling. That happened to me a few times on different levels of the game and on S1 as well. Once my hands got so sweaty that i dropped the controller (fail)
So i've been playing around on FR1 for an hour and got 2:32 (YAY!!!). Which i shall improve on, but i'm on to getting sub 1:40 on CE1 now. I can't seem to avoid the speed pads at the truck part, maybe Brian if you can make a video or something.

Thanks brian_pso. I'm playing now, and just practising between the 1st and 3rd checkpoint since i always screw up somewhere there. After (If) I sub 1 40. I'll start playing final rush even though i'm not that good at it. And try to solve 2 20

Hmm, ok, thanks for the tips. I have tried to hit that rail at the end, but always mess up on a good run, but never on a bad run. Once i got there at 1:19, then aimed for the rail and went too far right and died. The non-check run, i made a massive mistake by overshooting the green ramp. But i made up for it by bouncing over the fence, so i lost around 5 seconds, which makes me think that i could sub 1:40. I kinda understand the second trick, but do i need to avoid the speed pads or can i hit them?

Ok, it took me a while (About an hour) but i managed 257 with a fast way to defeat the hammer brother near the end. I used an emulator this time since i only have PAL version of the SNES, but i used no slowdowns, savestates or power-ups at the beginning. So it is possible to get 257. We still need to see some proof though
