Well I suppose there's no excuse for my absence (Unless traveling with no available Wi-Fi counts), not that I would've been much of a presence in the Tournament. This vacation's been taking a lot out of me. Well good job on both sides, I seen some results I thought not possible initially(that goddamn S2&K light-bluish type event I attempted for one).

You could do Time Stone Challenges with challenges from Sonic CD.

I already tried that once and I almost had a working set back when I was a G-staff over at SCD. The only problem is that Gens + cannot properly record .giz's of Sega CD games(They WILL desynch. No exceptions).
Like I've said before, I'd be more than happy to grade the challenges, but of course, I lack the proper authority to do so.

Ah good. Maybe now I finally have some purpose again. If only I could contact the Ever-Elusive SDM I could organize the revival of these.

Normally I'd try to apply for the G-staff here but now the status of everything is out of order and I don't know if my assistance would be useful, regardless of effectiveness(I don't put off grading challenges for months and months AND MONTHS on end). It's all in your hands RPG Oh great, now I KNOW we're screwed

I've been considering taking that role of grading as I have quite a bit of experience with fireworks. I am unsure when I'll be available enough to take the role of G-staff. I suppose I'll have to arrange further with the staff if such a role were to be bestowed on me.

No offense, but....uh....yeah  ^^^^^^^
SDM himself may not be grading the old ones anymore. but they do technically belong to RPG and Thorn. If they don't grade them, It's likely because they can't be arsed to grade over 9000 challenges at once.

Edit: OK, I May have took it JUST A BIT too far with that picture but...yeah, like I said.

Sounds like SDM has a lot of pressure on his hands. He seems to be done with those challenges himself but does this declare them closed? I mean nobody has ever cleared every emerald in all of his sets.


Also I believe he's giving up too easy on the old Emerald Challenges. I do my challenges for my own pride, Not to show off to other people. This meeting made me feel pretty grim and queasy(I don't get nauseous easy(at least not from motion)). I was expecting our reunion to be a lot more brighter but I guess all the pressure from SCD, College, And work can really get to ya. I guess that's why I relieved myself of duty in the SCD G-Staff. The burden must be unfathomable. But anyways I am not one who "dwells" in my past but I do get good nostalgia once in a while. My entire past wasn't haunted. Mostly just last year between August and December. But that's a story for another time, I'm getting too sidetracked.

^You really don't have to do anything, becuase SDM already sent me Fireworks. I PM'd him back saying, "That's nice, but can you send the source images as well?" They're a ridiculous amount of frames long apiece, so erasing the text isn't really an option. I very much want to get back into this, especially with carretero having beaten the only remaining challenge without an award given yet.

When he responds to my PM with the images I'll be grading again, and I'll be sending RPG copies so that he can get started again.

I hope I can help restore activity to the forums and the sonic community in general this way.

Okay, that's stretching things a little far.

Why so? I'm the helpful type that likes to get things moving. And I have ripped text out of emeralds and badnik images before. The only actually challenging aspect I see are the Master Emeralds and The Rainbow Emerald Because of Excessive framecount.
Yes I know It's not my authority to be telling you or RPG "How to do your jobs."
That's just my will to help out.
I'll leave you to do your business, your way.

Well first off that depends if you mean real or game time, what characters you can use, bug exploits, etc. Although I doubt that that total time is possible even with TAS. You're on the right track though so keep the ideas coming.

I may be able to grade the challenges once I have my files recovered from my virused pc(DOS Based D: ) and I retrieve my serial for fireworks(I'm sure Zizou or CGS has it still) and if we can contact someone to get the original templates from (unfortunately to our knowledge, only SDM could possibly have them now). Once I've restored my copy of fireworks I'll settle RPG's and Thorn's fireworks troubles. As for the mural images, The only way to get a template is to rip the text from one of the already posted images(which with any luck, might not be too hard for me....depending on the ammount of frames.

Once this has been taken care of, I highly suggest RPG and/or Thorn post the templates somewhere secure in the staff forums.

I hope I can help restore activity to the forums and the sonic community in general this way.
