General Sonic / Re: TSC and the Secret Rings

I got this game on the 21 since my gamestop received their shipments the day after launch. =[
I 'beat' it on the 23, but I still have missions I haven't unlocked and gold medals to get on them.
I was very surprised, and it is indeed better than some of the more recent Sonic titles. Constant forward movement is something that you need to adjust though, and honestly, the storyline kinda sucks.
Go get the game as fast as you can though, its really great.

General Sonic / Re: The best sonic games for the genesis

(I'm not bumping, am I?)
My favorite Genesis game would be Sonic 3 and Knuckles.
I like Sonic 1, it's just not my favorite. Sonic 2 was really good.
But Sonic 3 and Knuckles was great. The savestates introduced in 3 were awesome. But the levels themselves. They seemed to be lengthened, and harder. Maybe they just seem longer because of the set up (Miniboss, act over, continue path)...
To me, it seemed the first game with an actual bit of storyline, which set up the rest of the series. Sure, in Sonic 1 and 2 you had to collect the emeralds and whatnot, but it didn't explain much.
This told us about the ME and Knuckles and all that.
Now, there were the Super Emeralds... But I'm just going to ignore that point right now. XD

General Sonic / Re: Favorite theme song?

Hmm... I'm not sure if I can name one from everygame, I'd really have to go back and listen to everything, especially the newer ones.
S1: Starlight Zone
S2: Metropolis Zone
S3: Icecap Zone
S&K: The Doomsday Zone or Flying Battery Zone
From there, I'm not really sure about specific levels, like I said, I'd have to listen to all of the music again.
Sonic Adventure had a great theme, Open Your Heart. Sonic Adventure 2's Live and Learn was even better. Sonic Heroes, I didn't really like Team Sonic's or Team Rose's themes, but I liked Team Dark and Team Chaotix. Shadow the Hedgehog, I really liked I Am. I just wish it would be a little heavier, maybe more like Live and Learn.
I'd have to say me favorite out of these is Live and Learn.
