For some reason the word "supergay" sent me into a flurry of chuckles.

General Sonic / Pyramid Cave question

I was looking at SS101's video for PC1, and I'm wondering, how did he pull off that spot with spin dashing at the wall, and then quickly bouncing and making himself go high enough to shoot up over the wall (which happens at about 0:22)?

Well I already fixed it like right after I got the first reply in this thread, and posted a new ring count. I also made the same mistake for Dry Lagoon, but I fixed that as well. It's just cause I'm flipping through the records made on the game, which were made so long ago (At least 2 years ago), I don't remember how I got them. So yeah, fix'd.
Hooray for the ability to lock my own topics.

Well it just seems extra-suspicious since he submitted a ton of them all in one day (today).

Huh. Well I was kind of thinking that, but I made the record so long ago. Anyway, there's no possible way to tell how many rings I collected in the level, and how many were dug up (not without doing it over anyway). But with that said, isn't it also possible that other people's Ring records for Treasure Hunt consist of rings that were also dug up?

It actually has to update first. I accidentally put 176 instead of 175. Anyway, despite the 1-ring difference, it's still first place. I'm wondering how? Every other position is tied at 170. So how the heck did I get 175? Did it glitch somehow? Or am I just good at ring collecting?

General Sonic / Re: SadisticMystic's Treasure Hunt strategy

Oh but one more thing. How do you just "know" where a piece is? For example, your run on Meteor Herd, you found two Emerald pieces without them blinking on the bottom? So how can you just tell where a piece will show up like that?

If anyone's seen SadisticMystic's Knuckles/Rouge Emerald hunts (I'm sure it's almost everyone here), can you explain to me what he's doing? After he gets an emerald, he promptly kills himself and starts back in the beginning of the level. What does this accomplish?

I've already posted in another area, but yeah. Hi, I'm new.
I have to say this site is very good. With the videos I've downloaded I'v already gotten a handful of new A Ranks in SA2:B, and looking to get more. Aside from that, the response I got to my thread where I asked for help was quick and helpful.
Thanks a lot! I'll be looking to stay for a while. :D

Wow, I didn't know there was Score Records videos as well!
Thank God, the video helped me get 16,000, on both Mission 1 and Mission 4 (Which I had a B Rank in). But not before I died about 50 times in doing so, and fighting off the urge to hit something. Especially when I keep falling in the same place!
But yeah thanks a lot for the help. I'm sure I can get lots of help if I need it at this great site. Kudos. :D

General Sonic / Problems in Sky Rail
« on: September 01, 2006, 01:55:33 am »
It seems that even though I managed to get an "A" in the Hard Mode mission, I'm incapable of getting the 14,000 needed to for an A-Rank in the first mission of Sky Rail. I always come up about 2000 points short of it. Aside from that I've died way too many times trying to find a quick route.
I thought a good idea would be to look at Cybrax's fastest time. And even though I was blown away by what I saw, he only managed to get about 11,000 points. So that didn't help.
Any suggestions? I'm seriously stumped, and I have no guides other than the ones posted on the internet. And those pretty much just tell you the requirement for A-Rank without giving any insight to the mission.
Thanks!
