This variation need to be splitted... one to Sonic and other to Tails. Another to Knuckles already exist.
Tom Votava (rdrunner) is the referee for Genesis platform, and will be contacted.
For reason of "consistency", Tom Votava, TG Genesis referee, just edited the settings.
Let me know what do you think about.

I never found a way of beating that glitch myself. I do think you would have to lose a life.

Is there, however, a reason why Sonic 3 is tracked separately from Sonic and Knuckles on Twin Galaxies? It would surely make more sense to do them both combined... half the rankings, and far less glitchy.
Mike89, are you meaning Sonic & Knuckles versus Sonic & Knuckles + Sonic 3 on TG?
According with Twingalaxies, if the performance is NOT played in the exact same game, we can NOT to mix/combine the scores. If exists any possibility of differences between the versions, it will be tracked separately.
One similar example: Sonic 3 (Genesis version) is tracked separately from the Sonic 3 game in Sonic Jam CD (Saturn version).

By the way, thank you for the suggestion.

On behalf of Twingalaxies, I would like to know if you, expert guys on Sonic games, have some additional info about the bug that is explained below. Thanks

Ive just completed Sonic 3 with Tails and Sonic minimalist speed run and total completion, other than locking up sonic 3 with sonic and knuckles and sonic 3d im almost done.

Anyway, while playing as tails in both runs on sonic 3, theres a seemingly inescapable glitch that i tested using the games save feature, its at the start of zone 5 act 1 so I kept restarting from zone 5 before i ran the game properly.

It involves Tails sliding down the first slope of the level then he falls through the floor and dies when the slope steepens. Ive tried flying over the slope and rolling over it, everything I could think of and nothing seems to work. However, if you die once and then carry on you can go down the slope as normal, fly or roll over it and nothing happens, you can just carry on as if the bug never existed.

Strangely the bug seems to only affect Tails and only on his first time through the level, so on the runs I submitted I've had to die once and then carry on. If there is no solution to the bug as I believe there isnt, where do you stand regarding the bug policy which Ive read about on the site?

Im trying to complete all the sonic games without dying, getting all the emeralds first time if necessary, ive read about the bug on the net too and there are no solutions posted and certainly none I could find other than dying.

Hope to hear from you soon

Ashley Jackson

Either mode is allowed (re: F-Zero Central, if you knew about them before they shut down).  Both may have their bright points.
Ok, however on LAP and TOTAL LAP records, playing on Grand Prix is very better than Time Attack (of course, Tag and Balloons are only TA). I think is rare a CPU opponent to perturb your way on GP mode, and the GP's dashes is a very good help. So, TA have not good points.

F-Zero Central??? What is it? Yes, I don't know about it.

Thank you!

The Sonic R LAP and TOTAL records are allowed played only on Time Attack mode, or the Grand Prix mode is permissible???

On Radiant Emerald, my Time Attack / Radiant Emerald / Lap is 0'46"96
and Time Attack / Radiant Emerald / Total is 2'22"75. I just played a training attempt on Grand Prix mode, and my results are 0'41"26 and 2'16"65.

For info, all my current Sonic Jam records on TSC are on TA mode.

Hmmm... I don't know if these translation from Genesis to Saturn can be knowned as "emulation" or simply "translation". Well, what do you know?  But this is not the exact match... the important note here is that I never compare the 2 versions, side-by-side, frame-by-frame, to try find differences / glitchs. Anyone here know about the "fidelity" of the translation???

I would like to see a section with Sonic World (Saturn) records, with times of the 8 goals, and the total time. I have a couple of good marks here.

And about the other Sonic games in Sonic Jam CD, can I submit my records played on Saturn, to be included on the same Genesis section? (Well, I think don't have MAJOR playability differences between Saturn and Genesis versions, on S1, S2, S3, S&K and linked S&K games) Or is possible to create a section on TSC only for these Saturn records???

One more thing: I don't know of anyone on the Metroid Team (for any readers who don't know, that's a famous group of top Brazilian gamers) whose initials are TRB.  Is there another story, or is the team name put there just for show in an attempt to delude people into a higher image of you?
Please go to www.twingalaxies.com -> player interviews -> and look for Metroid Team members interviews (or  http://www.twingalaxies.com/cgi-perl/inter..._andre_treib.pl  ). Note: it was wrote 3 years ago. If you go around Twingalaxies site (championships or braking news, etc), you will find a lot of matters related to Metroid Team, and Valter "TRB".    :)

Hmmm... if I am here on TSC, is because I wanna compete against other Sonic good players and, if possible, highlight my team member too.   ;)   Do not hesitate to ask, and good gaming for you.

"On Balloon Park, you must hit at least one balloon on each lap."
This text is very explanable,  :)

3) There's a goofy exploit where you can get outside the visible area.
Yes, I know about this "shortcut". But I think is very interesting to know the players performance WITHOUT the useage of the shortcut and WITH the useage of the shortcut. Is possible to create 2 categories of records... with and without the cut. What do you think about?

Thank you!

Hi guyz!

I just read RULES and FAQ, but I have doubts:

1 - To submit my records, I need only send / post my scores/times??? Is need to send any confirmation, like VHS, picture, image file or video file???

2 - Emulators are permissible??? Or only console playing???

3 - What means...
Sonic 3 TA (amended 12-14-03)
Only use Time Attack mode (one player, no monitors).
You must be within the stage at all times.
 ???

4 - What means...
Sonic 3D Blast
None thus far. ???

Is not possible to send records on this game??? Or no one special rule on this game???

See you!
