Many of the records for the different missions are exactly the same.
For example, 0'30"29 is the record for all 4 charts.
It looks like the Mission 2 chart somehow got copied over the others.

Accoring to oldskoolgamer, the level was in fact played 4 different times, each for a different mission.

In Sand Ocean, there's a way to stop the clock in one part of the level, so the current ideal run for every mission starts out the same: get to the time stop as fast as you can, then play the rest of the level as normal.  30.29 is apparently the best time possible, and that run was replicated on each mission.

Thanks.

It's kind of weird that the run could be repeated perfectly,
but it's still believable, especially after what happened in Emerald Coast.
(my .03 second improvement, which resulted in a .01 second difference between players)

Just after I read the reply, I saw a thread about playing SO without stopping time.

30:29 isn't the best time possible..sub 30 can, and I believe has, been done.

well, SS101, I think if 30'29 has been copied 4 times, it might just be the best time possible. That's like saying MS3 can go below 1'38'50, which I highly doubt it can. I say leave that bloody level alone, it's caused too much torment and pain for me ;-; But you can do as you please. I'd love for you to prove me wrong and get 29 seconds, though

Err.. I'm not gonna try. However, someone ALREADY HAS gotten 29. I find it rather hard to believe that 30:29 was acquired on all 4 missions. I got 30:29 in one of them, and it really didn't seem perfect.
