On Sonic Adventure DX, he was underrated due to F-Man’s efforts

Hi mom. :) *waves to imaginary camera*

Aherm, I must say I was not expecting Cybrax to be first (probably becase he's been absent quite a few times), but I'm very glad for him. HooOoO0ray.

Congratulations to everyone who got into that list! :D

...

:)

sniff ...          WAHHHHHHHHHHH!

When will the next list be made? Is there one every year?
(I've got to submit a bit more than just the times for 2 games next year.
I'd better do scores and other missions/ games and stuff.
It would also help to do the Genesis games.)

(Ignore this next section. It's just a joke. Really.)

Maybe I should brag more!
(getting couple of 1st place records in SA, telling people about Tails in Casinopolis,
submitting a glitches guide with never before seen glitches... *head deflates*
uh... um... er... Aww, I lost my bragging mood!)

This is the first time mike's ever done it

You've done alot for sonic adventure, but that's not enough for top 10 :(

plus, you're still relatively new here, compared to how long some of the others have been here

I'd definetly say you're in the top 20 though.

finally I can post!

even though I haven't done any records in a while, its nice to see this list.

So um...how come Fman didn't make it in?  anyway, Nintendan, are you planning on doing a speedrun of Sa2 and 3 for Speed demos archives?  I would appreciate it as thats the only way I'll be able to see the game played entirely.  Your Sa1 run was sweet and I know that was hard not messing up entirely throughtout that entire run.

anyway, see you guys around.

lol, because I just kinda stick to Sonic Adventure only. Not to mention I've lost my championship because a few people decided it'd be a good idea to get good times on other levels than Sonic's and Tails'. Does that really make them better? I don't know. :P

1. Yeah, all I can brag about is SA stuff!
(Look at that section you were told to ignore in my last post.)
I'm doing more SA stuff that doesn't go in the times section,
and I'm also starting to play those Game Gear and Genesis games.

2. Hmm, that can't be too hard to fix.

Bah, I knew I'd forget something.

I meant to do a few honourable mentions for people who we considered, but didn't quite make the top ten.

The first is F-Man, for pwning at SADX and S3D back when he cared.

More as I think of them.

Okay, suddenly that night became a week long.

Here they are for real!

F-Man: Always in our considerations for the top 10, F-Man misses out because he really only played one game, that being SADX. He was pretty good at Sonic 3D as well, but that's a crap game and therefore doesn't count.

(You got off easy... I could have called SADX crap. =D)

Marth: Again, really only active in SADX, and being a newcomer wasn't really ever in the top ten considerations. Maybe next year! Probably the next champion of SADX - watch this space!

Tails47 2: Once again, omitted due to lack of games competed in and the fact that he wasn't here for over a year. Added to this section, however, due to his recent pwning of none other than myself on Sonic and Knuckles. One day, however, I will get that back...

oldskoolgamer101: Yes, I'm referring to him here by his "real" name. =P

A top contender on SA2B for a while, until giving the game away to pursue other interests. Whether he really could have been #1 or not is anyone's guess, and we'll probably never know...

Spinballwizard: An up-and-comer with real potential. Competitive in SAdva2, and S&K - and when you look at those green times, consider that the people above him are probably the only people ever to have beaten his times. Cause we're just that pwn here at TSC.

There's probably a few others that I could have mentioned, but those are the major considerations, and would probably be #11-15 in no particular order.

I'll leave the topic open for further comment.

1. SADX is my favourite Sonic game, and also my favourite game of all.
S3DB wasn't as good as the main StH series, but it still wasn't bad.
I get kind of sad when I play PP2, because it's the only level of its type.
They should have made the whole game like that.

2. You don't have a say in it.
(Okay, maybe you do. We'll just have to find out.)

1. SADX isn't that bad. If it wasn't so frustrating and glitchy it'd be pretty good, but it is frustrating and glitchy so never mind... S3D is only an ok game. Also very frustrating and annoying. If the damn birds wanna jump into the lava and don't want me to save them so be it, save the birds that come so you, not that damn fat ass green bastards...

2. He doesn't have a say in it, you have a lot of potential in SADX, before RPG pwned me I thought you were going to pwn me championship. Especially your pwnage at Hot Shelter - Amy, my favorite level in the game, you've got a lot of respect from me. :o Good luck in SADX.

SA:DX is fun, but the uber frustrating camera and glitchyness sort of hampers the experience. IMO, the DK Country series is one of the most over-rated game series in recent history. To me, it just seemed like a solid platformer with really good graphics. The sheer number of secrets the series had was entertaining, but the games lacked the fast pacing and brutal intensity I've come to expect from 2d platformers such as the Castlevania series (Symphony of the Night and beyond), MMZ series (waiting for the MMX Collection), and Gunstar Super Heroes (high priority for me this holiday season). Back on topic, Marth will definately overtake the top 5 spots in SA at the very least.
Ever know what its like to get pwned by a book? Sonic certainly does.

I know SA's glitchyness and camera are bad, but they're nothing compared to SA2.
Maybe it's just because I'm not as familiar with it, but still, it's bad.
Switching between rails is just messed up, there's no Free Camera
(at least SADX had one most of the time), Sonic sometimes waits until it's too
late before responding to a press of the A button (on those bar things
that he swings around), and the B button is terrible.
(No, wait. The B button deserves its own complaint section.)

When I try to get a line of rings, Sonic just decides that he wants to do a somersault,
or even worse, a bounce attack that just happens to send him down into a pit.
When I try to do other moves near rings, it makes him go toward them.
The spindash is way too slow, and I don't know why SEGA would put in that somersault.
It's just a slower spindash. The spindash could have smashed boxes and
squeezed through small places if SEGA had just left the fun and realism in.
(influenced by Zelda games, maybe? THIS IS NOT A SLOW ADVENTURE GAME!)
Because Sonic loves the stupid somersault so much,
he does it when he should be playing the Mystic Melody.
Finally, he does the same stupid move while near items that can be lifted.

Getting back on topic...

Thanks, mike89, sonicam, and magnum12.

I've been playing Sonic Drift a bit, and I'm planning to try a bunch of other games later.
Also, I've been playing SA for rings, scores, and boss times. (I should also do Twinkle Circuit.)

too bad I have nothing to do with this speedrun video...

Bwahaha, glitches in SADX... I thought that was a silly bandwagon. :D

Seriously, except stuff like spindashing until you pass through walls (isn't that a cool thing?), I don't see any. The camera never caused me problem, in fact, I love it. Much more free than in other 3D Sonic games, even on Auto Camera.
