statistics based on vids huh...I guess I could start doing some heroes and riders stuff, but others might whip them out faster than I can.

I could do Heroes and Riders also and maybe SA2B, Chaos, Triple Trouble, Drift 2, SA2B. But would they just be times or scores and rings as well?

I'm not fond of this new format. It excludes tons of good records, is not nessecarily an accurate way to determine the best 10 players, and practically excludes everything that isn't time division.

Hmm... I gotta agree. If I want to get anywhere near at least a top 30 list, I'd have to upload a shitload of videos, some of which don't match my current best anymore. Unfortunately, they'd have to be youtube links, and they all (except one) have added music. Either the way I suggested or the original way are fine by me.

I think top 10 videos is a good idea, but ranking players by vids maybe not so much. Maybe run both?

Let me make this clear. We are not ranking players based on their vids.

We are ranking the vids themselves, and the level of skill shown therein.

I understood that. It's just I find it to be.. well, not the greatest idea. And, as was mentioned earlier, quite a few members are at a disadvantage and they can't contribute to this portion.

RPG said there already is one (the game ranks), but I pointed out the Top 10 TSC players isn't listed with just the player's names, but with a gaming description.

The fact of the matter is that a vid is a proven show of skill from a certain player. If you can't participate, that's unfortunate, but it's the nature of the beast. In general the best players have got vids to back themselves up anyway.

Oh, right that. I kinda like that idea better as well. At least everyone has a chance, that way.

So yse, for the videos, when will the Top 10 be shown. Will it be more so the players with the most, well-done videos or just one video that proves a player's skill at a game? Also, does this mean, as I have the ability to take videos, I should start submitting some?

I'm stilll up in the louds surrounding this whole video thing I guess... :P

TSC Top Tens: Third Birthday Edition!!

First I must apologise to everyone who's submitted a vid to date but didn't make it to this list. Knocking 450 vids down to 10 was never going to be easy, and as usual there'll be some controversial decisions. However I think all in all you'll mostly agree, and you can't call bias because neither me or RPG are represented in the list this time. :O

Now, without further ado... let us begin!

TSC'S GREATEST VIDS #10:
Sonic Adventure - Ice Cap - Tails - 1'31"85 [NintenDan]

This is the kind of vid that exemplifies what TSC is all about. While there isn't much to the level as a whole, somehow F-Man, all those years ago, sat eight seconds clear at the top of the pack. But in the spirit of friendly competition, NintenDan smashed the record by a full second, and proceeded to show the world exactly how it was done. The one jump, for those who haven't seen the video, that makes the time that much quicker is completely unexpected, and I assure you even the most experienced of TAers here at TSC went "whoa!" the first time they saw it.

Now I know some of you are going to say there's more than nine videos better than that - and I especially expect to hear this from people with more than nine videos to their name. But I don't care, cause it's our top ten and we're completely unbiased.

As usual, here goes the mysterious list:

I totally agree with the video you decided to choose to start the top 10. This time is Nintendan's only record left in SA, and for a good reason; it is simply awesome. Even vidded, no one has managed to beat it yet.

Sonic Adventure 2:Battle - Cosmic Wall - Mission 1 - Score - 170990 [Psyknux]

Awesome. No other word I can really think of. This vid really showed TSC exactly what PK was capable of; decimating anything and everything. As many of you know I held the CW Score records for a long time, and I really wouls never have predicted that the score could go as high as 170K, and Im sure many people went ":O" upon seeing tis majestic piece of Sonic (Eggman?) mastery.

Congratulations PK on earning yourself spot #9~

How could Cybrax's metal harbor make the #2 spot? 1:21 isn't THAT great, maybe his 1:16 could though, if there was a video of it.

I just got around to watching Psyknux's Cosmic wall video, because I never even knew it was there before- simply amazing,soo many "Perfects" and so many enemies I never even knew about. nice job and congrats on making #9!

Those 2 are kickass and if your going to do a score vid, that would be a great example with a super high score like that to represent. Just shows that SAing can be just as tough as TAing.
