Should sega remake its classic games to attract the old gaming generation? Mega collection didn't really remake the games, it just ported them. They could maybe release mega collection 2 with save features for the games, a few added modes, and some might possibly be made 3d or something.

I HOPE YOU DO

If you're saying that SMC ported the games as opposed to remaking them (true as it may be), then didn't Sonic Jam remake the games?

If a game more in that direction is what you're asking about, then no, I don't want that to happen, I like my Sonic games the way they are.

And just as a side note, I would have got Sonic Mega Collection, except I couldn't find it anywhere...

2.5d could be pretty cool. (like Viewtiful Joe, where it looks 3D but is actually 2D) Shame it'll never happen.

Knuckles in Sonic 1 might be nice.

No, it would be obscenely broken.

I think a 3D remake, if done well, might work. With cutscenes and all... but very very very few cutscenes. Probably not much more than the 2D games already have.

And have remixed music... I want to see them take the original Sonic theme tune, and make it into "Sonic's Theme" for a remake... with lyrics and stuff... and they could do the same for Knuckles... hehe.

Instead of updating and ultimatly ruining classic 16-bit games, they should convert Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 into 2D games (giving them the same look and feel as Sonic 1 & 2) and whack them onto a CD. That would be 100 times better than fiddling around with the Megadrive epics.

Didn't they put lyrics to it in AoSth? *shudders at the memory of that*
