Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed
« on: August 05, 2013, 05:29:01 am »
So I've been interested in doing some time attacks for the game, but I feel a bit unmotivated after realizing that the top leaderboard times consist mostly of old times from older patches of the game that are no longer attainable. There also seems to be some version differences between PC and other consoles. Sorry if this has already been talked about in other threads, but I'm just interested to see what other people think about this issue, and if there is anything I could do to help make it more motivating to others like me.

Well I'm the current TSC CHampion and I use the 360 version. IIRC, the PC version came with said patches and I'm unaware if you're able to remove them or not. This means none of the OOB or Respawn glitches work on it. On the 360, you can remove the patch and perform all of the glitches again. You can do this by going into Storage > ASRT section and deleting "Title Update".

So I advise using the 360/PS3 versions so you can remove the patch, play in offline mode without downloading the patch again, then repatch whenever you want the updated version back.

That's cool that you can remove the patch, but I only own the PC version so I guess I'm out of luck =/. I suppose I could just go for good race times instead

Well that's pretty unfortunate :/ You won't be getting records with that unless there is some new glitch found for PC. You can still get decent race times with it though.

Does the OOB or Respawn Glitch work on the WiiU version?

Only if you don't have the latest patch.

How am I sure if I have it? (Or, more accurately, when did the lastest patch come out?)
