There's a few things I've seen in Generations speedruns that I don't particularly understand. I try my best to emulate the video I'm watching but it doesn't work.
I'm pretty sure the IRC is probably for this, but I don't have a client yet. In case someone wants to answer my question now, I'm trying to avoid the Mega-Chopper while running out-of-boundaries in Seaside Hill, but I can't get it to work. Can someone help, pretty please?

To avoid that chopper from chomping you press down on the analog stick when you see his fin appear, basically he won't eat you if you are slightly under the water, so if you wanted you could just keep tapping down to make him never appear, a good example of this is this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAY2YGRJ3WY&feature=share&list=PLWJikipm2MTbHdEwsdz94uZJCrLCPeEG3 , if you go to 0:14 you can see that that trick is used there, hope that helps, if you need any more help at Generations feel free to send me a PM or ask at soniccenter.org/chat, or just reply here.
