I've been looking at some news, and I found that there will be some version differences. I only saw 3DS differences though, and I didn't look through the whole article.

I will be getting the 3DS version, so I can make charts for those. I will also be getting the console versions, but I bet you guys would be getting them before me. As soon as it comes out, I will start planning some charts. Besides, we can almost do them now, as we know the levels and we can assume it will be in centitime or something like that. (I mean 0:00.00)

I'll be getting the game launch day, or earlier if the pre-order history is anything to go by. Apparently it comes out here first, so I'll start looking at what's competable in the console versions after my first playthrough.
