A few stages such as Planet Wisp Act 2 are missing ring charts, this is because of cauldron enemies that apparently spit out an infinite amount of rings every time Sonic touches it. I'm not sure exactly what they're called but because of the newly found Score Limit: we are able to track scores for these stages.

Gameland
1-1   2-1   3-1   4-1   5-1   6-1   7-1
1-2   2-2   3-2   4-2   5-2   6-2   7-2
1-3   2-3   3-3   4-3   5-3   6-3   7-3

Every Gameland stage tracks Times and Scores only, no rings. (Though I guess it helps with that horrible gimmick at the end of each stage.)

E.G.G. Shuttle
Score Total/Time Total

E.G.G. Shuttle is just a marathon level, playing through the 45 main stages. Times -should- be track-able but you are only able to view them before you submit your score.

now for SPOILERS! Skip Spoilers

*Highlight to see Spoilers*

Super Sonic is playable in levels, the levels are slightly tweaked compared to the original levels (Super Sonic cannot use wisps, enter gameland, E.G.G. Shuttle, or fight bosses.) allowing him to pass wisp sections. Super Sonic also gains 1,000 points every two rings for...well...being super! <_< >_>
EDIT: I'll go with what RPG suggests: let's just add a separate slot for him, Times and Scores.

END SPOILERS.

EDIT: Apparently, not only does each bonus have a limit, but each LEVEL has a time limit that prevents you from exploiting any further than a certain time limit.

Only rule I can think of is

Sonic Colo(u)rs Wii
Scores divisions
* Scores must be attained in a single continuous run (without deaths).

Notes:
Most bosses have an infinite supply of rings, and all of them have an infinite supply of wisps, breaking the score counter. Time, however, can still be tracked. In Terminal Velocity, the ring count carries over, but the time is reset for the boss. In missions, ring count is almost impossible to check, due to the screen instantly fading out. Playing in normal mode will save scores, but there is also a Time Attack mode which will save times. Rings would presumably be done in normal mode. Neither of the final bosses save anything. If anything else proves to be broken, just edit this post.

I reckon the DS divisions should be:

Times | Bosses | Scores | Rings | Special | Extra

Extra being mission times, which are actually fully visible at the end, unlike in SRA.

Has anyone tested that the score can be badly exploited in Boss fights?

I'm okay with the category listing. If need be, The Mission Times can go into Times rather than extra, so the number of leadership bonuses aren't too much.

I'll get around to testing once i get the game.

Missions have their own slot in the SRA charts so I reckon we should just bung them in an Extra category.

Haven't explicitly tested Boss scores yet, but the amount of wisps cannot be infinite, as you earn them whenever you cause damage to a boss. On saying that though, the wisp bonus is tiny and times makes up such a huge proportion of the score that it would basically be like just having two Times charts.

I don't own the DS version (not out until Tuesday), so I might as well ask this before the charts go up: why are the "multiplayer" (read: vs. CPU for TSC) stages not included in the proposed DS charts? What makes it different than tracking Sonic Rivals?

They only give times, and the extreme randomness of the items (including the fact that they're all ranged) makes it more luck-based than anything.

The experience I have with Colours Vs CPU Mode is a follows:

 - Shit
 - Random items that are normally either very difficult to dodge, or just outright impossible to avoid depending on where you are when the CPU decides to throw them at you.
 - Full of little finnicky platforming sections where you WILL have the opponent spawn items at you and you WILL fall off. A lot.
 - Like being punched in the dick.

I don't think we should bother charting them on the basis of it's a barrel of dicks and fucking awful to play, if that's what Sonic Rivals is like I sure am glad I won't ever own it or play it <_<

Shadow is pretty good, subject matter aside - it's not filled with a CPU spamming you with dick moves, and while S06 is borderline unplayable it's certainly more tolerable than Colours VS CPU mode.

I wonder how exploitable the AI is, heh.  I remember when I first picked up MM:tPB I thought it was going to be a horrible bitch to get good times/scores... how wrong I was, after learning the game.

Regardless, someone not liking it isn't reason enough not to track it, else we certainly wouldn't have S06 or heroes on the site.

Yeah, Shadow as a game is ok, I meant heroes in my first post, for it's "Hi, you like falling through floors you said!?  GREAT!"

Committing the sin of double posting but there isn't much point in editing my last one;

FKE in response to the SPOILERS, surely it would make more sense to chart it as an additional character for levels for Times and Score, like a certain other recently released Sonic <_<

Bosses should only track Times as almost every boss has infinite rings and/or a horrible gimmick. (See the Wii version.)
Other than that, I decided to go with RPG's suggestion. Charts for both the Wii and DS versions should be ready to be posted. The only thing that we need now are just rules for both the Wii and DS version.

EDIT: Also, they fixed the original QTE exploit that I found in Sonic Unleashed, you can no longer scalp from Trick Ramps.

As far as I am aware I don't think the DS version actually needs any specific rules as there's nothing hilariously exploitable that I've noticed yet.

I suggest we add DS "*spoiler*" rings too, with the rule that time over must be enabled. That being said, scores for bosses should be allowed for the time until it is substantiated that ring supply is infinite, since my experience of the bosses don't have any infinite rings. Even then, it's just Exception with no ring cap, but a time bonus lost, and since time over will be enabled, it would seem pointless to farm for rings.

Asteroid Coaster Boss (Skullian)
Terminal Velocity (Nega-Wisp Armor)
Nega-Mother Wisp

To safely note about divisions, anything without "(Mission)" Is Sonic, else the division is Mission. I opted to use scores for the mission, since it saves the score in game. As stated above, Time over must be enabled, so rings and scores are to be allowed with this provision. Times are to be obtained in Time Attack mode. I have also not included VS charts in this post, due to the uncertainty of them. If they are to be tracked, they will go in their own category as follows.

Extra:
Tropical Resort 1
Tropical Resort 2
Tropical Resort 3
Sweet Mountain 1
Sweet Mountain 2
Sweet Mountain 3
Starlight Carnival 1
Starlight Carnival 2
Starlight Carnival 3
Planet Wisp 1
Planet Wisp 2
Planet Wisp 3
Aquarium Park 1
Aquarium Park 2
Aquarium Park 3
Asteroid Coaster 1
Asteroid Coaster 2
Asteroid Coaster 3

EDIT: Yeah, screw the VS Charts.

This seems adequate, reasonable and logical. Problem?

umby was here :3

so was rpg lol

Couple of things to point out:

 - No point in tracking Boss score AND time, it will end up as a duplicate chart because time bonus is 99% of the score.

 - No point in tracking Mission rings; 1/3 of them have a hard cap of 200 rings, 1/3 of them are exactly the same as a regular level from the zone and the other 1/3 have a time limit that's too strict to do anything except to finish the objective.

- No point in tracking Mission Times and Scores; Score is derived entirely from your time remaining, the game saves your high score, makes much more sense to use the stat the game manually saves for you. - I am an idiot and thought Extra was Mission Times and not VS CPU because I read this right after I woke up - DONT CHART VS CPU FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MR ADMINS

- Nega-Mother Wisp and Starlight Carnival Boss have infinite rings, not 100% sure on the Asteroid Coaster boss though, 'nuff said

tl;dr - No point in Boss Scores, Mission  Rings or NMW and SC Boss Rings.

Curious, FKE, why limit scores to a single continuous run?  The timer keeps going, and it only saves your score at checkpoints, so deaths will result in a lower score, not a higher one (there could easily be reasons for this, but I don't know them, I'm asking, not being a dick, damnit)

Just to note with the time bonus, there aren't thresholds like there were in SRA and Rush. The two measure differences, as slight as they may be; Outright Time, and Time+Rings.

Obviously. That's why they aren't in the charts i've put up.

Again, We are only tracking scores since they save. And yeah, i'm starting to lean against VS charts, since Times don't save, and that one could be an idiot and use actual multi-player vs.

Unless I'm missing something, wouldn't E.G.G. Shuttle score devolve into "Spend 15+ hours getting 9999 rings on TR4 then don't get hit until you max the score"? I can't see it being that great to track...

The only reason I can think of to disallow it would be to keep consistency across all divisions but other than that there's no real reason to. Also it's a pain to unlock

Miles9999: Rings in the Wii version give score based on time.  go to SC6 and collect all 650+ rings, and you'll find that, at the end, you get no score bonus from them.

I believe competition is safe ^_^

But rings carry over in between stages in the Egg Shuttle, meaning you can easily finish under the time limit and get the massive bonus on every stage after TR4.

Actually, it's less hard to unlock than the last wave cyclone in SRA so you can get really fast times against Johnny.

Personally i don't mind whether or not Infinite boost is allowed or disallowed. It just seemed like disabling it would be something TSC would want to do. (Having infinite boost on would affect rings, scores and Terminal Velocity times

regarding <spoilers> since FKE is saying we're going to track times and scores separately - why scores? <spoilers> is horrible for scores since you miss out on wisp bonus which makes up a huge amount of your score and drifting as well, and the extra bonus is merely compensation for a certain other missing bonus as DsS has pointed out elsewhere; I guarantee you they will always be significantly worse than playing without <spoilers>. I don't think it makes sense to have score charts for it. :/

on another note when are we going to stop calling it <spoilers>? Can't keep it up forever, especially not once the charts actually go up. Especially for a thread that has a spoiler warning marked in the title. <_<
