TSC should totally have a Sonic 2 Supersonic Rings division! Consider this and you know it is true!

Check it out. You get 50 rings and then uh oh suddenly you're losing them. So you have to see how many you can get fast enough to outrun the ring-per-second timer. And it becomes not just a tired old "ploddingly collect every ring in the level without getting hurt" snorefest but rather exciting frenetic passionate scavenger hunts!

lol. honestly i think super sonic should be allowed in the normal rings division. :P it wouldn't change much except a few specific cases where it'd make it more interesting.

eh, it's hard to keep it solid across games.  Consider Hyper Sonic in S3&K, in any bracket, heh.  (if you don't know why this is broken, go watch the HS TAS)

Okay, why does a certain feature have to be covered across all games on the site, and not just one specific game?

Because we are a competitive, authoritative site.  I love the idea of Speed-RAing (ya know, like SAing? or SA+ing?) but it's just a combination of two things we have already (SS times + RA).

In short: it'd be a blast, especially route planning, but it'd be hard to take it seriously.  Super Sonic 1-style TA/RA was awesome, honestly, so perhaps a hack could be made in it's spirit, and it'd be this only better, without ruining our charts?

Aitamen is firmly opposed to fun. TSC is a serious site for serious gamers. Fun and excitement ruin the purity of the vision.

Do you also prefer your butterflies lined up in glass cases with pins through their hearts rather than fluttering about and drinking from flowers?

I move that Herr Aitamen's objections be overruled on the basis of that this is a totally awesome idea.

Aita, that is hardly a reason directly addressing the need for this to be across all games. I say if it is feasible in one game, but not another, we shouldn't stop it.
