Basically, about half a year ago I drew this, but left it unfinished.

Recently I discovered it again and was discontent that I never completed it; also because the symbolic value of not granting a sun to rise seemed rather unpleasant to me. Therefore, I continued working on it and now it is done.

I didn't want to alter the original picture too much so aside from recolouring parts of the sky, fixing the horizon and erasing a perspectively incorrect tree I refrained from changing the base although today I would have done a few things differently.

Today I felt very angry, emptily sad, and a bunch of other diffuse emotions at the same time, flowing into a mild insanity. So I decoded to channel these feelings into my hand and started to draw wildly without any plan or regulations. This was the result, afterwards I felt very tird and exhausted, but also calm and peaceful.

That Remilia drawing isn't half bad, actually. My only immediate problem with it is that her hat looks too... straight? Normally it's a lot poofier. Yes that is a word I just made it up now.

But oh god she looks like she's going to kill me.

Drew this a few days ago. The building in the background is the Apollinariskirche here in Remagen by the way.
