How I got my sub 17 secs in Windey Valley (Tails)
« on: August 09, 2009, 10:12:22 am »
Ok this is short but how i got my sub 17 secs on WV (tails)

At the start as fast as possible (but first used a trick to get to the path) I jumped of the back and was facing backwards till I reached the emerald (no hacks used)

EDIT: Dont call BS on me Ive explained it, k?

Ok first off the level is not laid out that way, if you are going backwards you will not get anywhere near the ending. Second, emerald? There is no emerald unless it's your first playthrough, in which case it adds 10 seconds to your time. third that is pretty horribly worded and not descriptive at all. I call bs on you, since you've so kindly explained how you are bsing to us.

You should still not be facing backwards at any point in the level nor should you have been able to get anywhere near 17 with the 10-second penalty.

A.) your strategy would not place you near the emerald.
B.) Your time would have to -actually- be 7 seconds for this to be a legitimate time, due to logistics of starting with a new save. That is extremely unpractical.

Mind providing some more solid proof, in the form of a picture or video, then?

Another thing...you can't go backwards at the start, without getting blocked by an invisible wall. It's high enough that it can't be flown over, and it's solid all the way down to the kill plane.

How much further can you get, if you not only have to turn back around, but fall all the way to the bottom in 7 seconds?

No, you didn't.

Might want to come up with some detail fast, or are you running out of material to cover your ass with?
<Tails> also "GET BLUE SPHERES" on a black-and-white TV remains the best special stage of all time

<Achlys> wat ave you done!
