The game gear games all either start act 3 with no timer or remove it at the boss.

the master system version has timer in all boss levels (it disappears only when the the fight ends). We could use this version for level-3 time attacks.

There's already scores for act 3. Since bosses in S2GG have no rings, the score formula is boss kill + time bonus. This means both versions have a chance, since the scoring formula is exactly the same.

I dont think thats really an issue with MS/GG era games when you can find and download them with an appropriate emulator in like 60 seconds or so

Well, I think what mike was saying was that scores and times are identical with the exception of game gear exclusion.

the boss-level scores I put here don't have the points you gain when you actually kill the boss. Should I add those points?

...and, if it's a yes, the score list for each boss as far as I know (MS version):

UG3 - 5000
SH3 - 6000
AL3 - 5000
GH3 - 5000
GM3 - 5000
SE3 - 5000
CE3 - 20000

Points for killing the enemies I would imagine. I'd say the boss itself is still an even 5k.

No, no. Those are the scores for killing the boss only (no time and no enemy bonus included). I also find that strange, but everything I tested so far gave me 6k on SH3 boss.
