Wii Photo Problems
« on: January 07, 2008, 06:39:10 pm »
Does anyone know how to copy photos off of the Wii Message Board onto an SD card? Elecmouse101 sent me a bunch of photos from his copy of Sonic Rush, but I can't get them off the stupid thing to analyze the times.

You can't copy them TO your SD Card, SJ/GS.
You can only view from.
You also can't send it to your email.
Basically, you can't get it off your Wii, pretty much. XD

1. Ignore eggFl and PPA and keep your Wii and APPRECIATE it for what it is.
2/3/4. Repeat step 1 continously.

Fix'd. <_<

By the way, is there any reason Wii games don't have online play? Like, the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Need for Speed Prostreet have online play... but the Wii version doesn't. Does the Wii somehow have inferior online functionality, or do EA and other developers simply not bother for whatever reason?

Nintendo doesn't know what TCP/IP is.

Satoru Iwata: "Customers do not want online games."

In other words, Nintendo are assholes. :(

But Wii already has online play capabilities... at least supposedly. So whether or not Nintendo makes online games shouldn't make a difference. Is there any reason third party developers don't make their games online? Everyone's starving for Smash Bros or Mario Kart or Pokemon online... but what about the NON-Nintendo games. Need for Speed Prostreet is the real exhibit here... because it's an EA game, and EA is proud to have their games online and use their own servers.. even the PS3 version has online, and the Xbox 360 version of all EA games don't even use Xbox Live methods, they use EA servers and EA butted heads with Microsoft in order to let them do it that way. So I wonder why doesn't the Wii version of Prostreet have online play. Could it have?

Gerbilsoft - Don't know what you mean with that. Please elaborate!

As I said, Nintendo has no clue how to use TCP/IP. Take Mario Kart DS, for example. MKDS refuses to respond to ARP packets, causing some routers to drop the DS's connection because the router thinks the DS isn't on the network anymore. Another example: The Wii can barely hit 3 Mbps on wireless, even though it uses an 802.11g chipset.

I see... so in other words, Wii's online connectivity is slower than the other systems? Slow and possibly unreliable too?

I wonder if that has anything to do with nobody making online games for the Wii.

Of course it could be that they simply don't see any incentive for it. (wii audience may not be interested in online or may ignore their game)
