In the context of the comment that it was listed in, it is an unknown and mystical force that allows the user to blast into the air and lets him get to to the goal in a nice record time. It's probably a sky glitch that happened to get the time in SO2, but who knows where that has to happen in order to cut time.

There's nothing in the first Sand Oasis Diehard Challange that can make you fly.

you could say that about so1, so3, ef5, ps6, lp2, ef4, ps9 and countless others. You'd be a liar saying that, however.
