Chart Completion Awards
If you get orange in ALL charts (oustide of freestyle) in a specific game, you get the Competitor title. If you get red in ALL charts (outside of freestyle) in a specific game, you get the Veteran title.

'Rite of Passage' - Get 25 seconds or better in Green Hill Zone.
'Miserable Failure' - Submit, yet don't have the record in Final Zone.

'Pro' - Get into the top 20 sitewide.
'Master' - Get into the top 10 sitewide.

Why not just give the awards to whoever is leading in that division?  Screw the 0 points.

Groudon: Because leaderships swing to and fro all the time, and in an undercompetitive division it really isn't too hard to get a leadership. But 0 points take determination and skill.

I'm pro making the chart titles for low score instead of zero point.  I would also consider making awards for most points in a chart, though that could be iffy (how would this work for someone who's only submitted into half the ranks?)
And you need to come up with a better name then "Special".  Really.  Probably something concerning emeralds/super forms.

Just a few ideas I felt like throwing in

1. I don't think anybody on the site can even get fanatical completionist...you'ld need a ton of emulators and ROMs, an XBox 360 or PS3 (Sonic06, SH, Riders, Shadow), a Wii (SSR, SA2, SA1, SH, Riders, Shadow), a DS (Advance games and Rush games), and a PSP (Two rival games).

2. You can get Never Gonna Give You Up fairly easily by getting champ, nuking a few of your charts so you lose champ, resubmitting, renuking, and resubmitting again.

I love the Awards idea.
But the awards would need to be definitive in terms of the achievement req't.

I'd also say awards specific to the number of games a person has played. Also:
*Sitewide Ranking: Top 20 Awards
*Longest Running Records
*An award for someone who steals a record on a table with tons of competitors or who steals a record that is REALLY close (ex., S06 charts).
*Stealing a Championship
*Has placed top in the rankings for all games for a specific console.
*Forum Awards maybe? Example, stubbornness (best example I could think of: me requesting Shuffle).

I feel it's important to restate a few things....

1. Emerald Challenges should be placed in the awards section seeing as while it is a rather inactive subject in terms of TSC, it is still TSC related these days. I realize that Rolken's "Hidden Palace for every game" idea is also desireable, and I can't see why we can't just have both. :P

2. I am still offering to make award graphics. I promise they'll be awesome ok :(

I have Fireworks for the Emerald Challenges, so I can assist too... just that I'm not half as good as SkyL or Quartz or the like. I can work from ripped sprites okay though... Spinny's sig banner and the rest of the awards for Tourney 1/2 are about the peak of my ability here. :P Some quick aniGIFs is about the most you'll get out of me.

Hi. I've been away for about a month or 2 (or heck, maybe even 3 or 4! ^_^) and I think that these are really good ideas, but where is the actual awards page? And also a couple of random things:

1. My forum profile has clocked up exactly 3,400 hits.
2. I like the new small image revamp that this site has had.
3. I also like the thing on the toolbar at the bottom that says how much memory a certain page is taking up (My profile is 1.6 MB :P)
4. I wrote the 4, then couldn't think of anything to say here so I do this ^_^ >_> <_< V_V :)
