Okay, just wondering, HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET 24 SECONDS ON GREEN HILL 1 FOR SONIC 1?!

Not to accuse, but Paragod said his 24 secs was TAS'ed on a console... so... Someone help me out here.

I remember it first being declared impossible, as most of the 25's achieved for green hill were on the verge of a 26 (really high centi-second count)

But the more you do something, the better you get at it :o

Plus there really isn't that much for the tool assisted run to exploit other then do everything as perfect as possible. If you look at all the other sonic tool assisted runs, they are aLOT faster then the non-TAS runs because of spindash / airdash abuse, but Sonic 1 has neither of those.

I think a few other people have it other than Paragod though. and by few, I mean VERY FEW, but still, I thought it was possible with alot of accuracy and precision

Does the TAS run pull off anything ridiculous or insane. I don't think it does, and I'm surprised people didn't start getting 24 sooner. Then again, this is coming from someone who can't even get 25 (it's that loop trick!)

I've done 24 on emu while blindfolded and on a console.  Basically, it requires pixel-perfect execution/stupid luck (I'm the latter).

Basically you only have like 10 frames of error room, so you just copy everything done in the TAS exactly. The hardest part for me was getting the timing of how long to hold jumps down for.
