fyi, I already said my Crisis City time had improved to 4:50.
Also:
I did the first part of CC pretty good, a little over a minute I think, like 1:06 I think.
I do this part in 0:58. Still sucks though... I have trouble keeping the buggy alive after the part with the road that has the iblis worms coming out of it.
Oh and what I should do next is fall past the rails at the start of act 2. (like getting the silver medal) I forgot about that, ill do that. But with your new time it still puts me too far back.
Wha? I have no idea what you're referring to. I have never done a non-shortcut path at the beginning of act 2, so no wonder... What I do is after I get the rings on the rail you start off on, I jump down onto the rail below me. I have always done this due to shortcut obsession (I know, sounds freaky, but it's true... watch me play a game for the first time and you'll notice how many times I actually die to make a shortcut even in non-Sonic games.
btw after that part, I was wondering which rail should I take. I stayed on the first rails which takes all the way, and I tried the rainbow hoop, but that doesnt seem particularly fast. I have to try running on the wall which is the last option. (I think)
Assuming I had my facts straight in the above statement, you SHOULD go through the rainbow hoop (although you have to hit one of the iblis birds, of course). Homing attack forward to the edge of the platform after that, and then jump (not homing attack) forward until you face the grind area closest to the spring area. This should quickly lead you to a spring that takes you to the checkpoint.
Flame Core was entertaining since there are a lot of corners to cut. On the first part, I did the sweep kick like you said, and just as it runs out I jump the lava and for the spring down there, then I do 3 homing attax to the ramp.
Instead of doing this, when you land on the spring, there is an area that the camera faces. Get to this area by homing attacking the iblis bird nearest to you and then moving towards this area. Hit the boosts as fast as possible, because there is an annoying worm that has a good chance of taking you out and making you fall into the lava. Don't hit the boost pad at the end; instead, jump forward and then homing attack to your left, taking you DIRECTLY to the spring area that you use the box break glitch on.
The Rouge part takes time. I thought I could go through the door at the end of that part, but I couldn't. So I figured that you Psyborg must have beaten it as Shadow, so I tried that, which was neat. I thought by doing this I could keep my Chaos Snap. But that doesn't work either. So maybe I should just use Rouge. O_o I'm not even sure who is faster in that part, Rouge or Shadow.
Rouge is faster.
Oh and that caged spring in outdoors at the last checkpoint frequently throws me into the sky, darn little thing.
Heh, I had problems with that too for a while. Actually, I figured out that it's faster just to homing attack over to that spot, despite getting hurt by the lava.
Unless you gave me a complete verbal strategy of what you were doing, I can't help you much further. Good luck if you do it on your own, though :)
