I entered the prominent members and it's showing every player that joined TSC since october 27, 2006 on the list o.O

Is that normal? Or it's just heppening with me?

There was an old bug that added new members to group 6 instead of group 3.  It was fixed, but a recent update to the source file that controls the addition of new members was built off a pre-fix version of that file, so the bug was reintroduced.

It's been fixed once again.

Also, is that thing ever going to be updated or something? I mean, there's new people who stick to TSC like tape nowadays. Just curious.

Including me, and it seems I come here almost whenever I get the chance (with 23 days clocked on the forum).

I don't think time spent on the forum is a good way to make it on the list, because anyone could leave their browser on the forums even when they aren't there.

I've had the browser on here for 4 hours once while I slept and came back with only 15 minutes added to the time spent online.

Are there some real conditions to be one of the prominent members?

Leaving your browser open on a page doesn't cause data to be sent to that page constantly.  It's only sent when you load the page, and then SMF keeps a record of it for 15 minutes before treating it as though your session is over and your next visit won't count the time taken between page loads.

You could get a Firefox extension called ReloadEvery and tell the page to reload every 4 minutes, but that's just a reason why the time spent stat is unreliable.

Hay guiz, I made a table showing how many points each game tracked by TSC is worth. You should go see it.
Also v2.0 of my TSC calculator is available to use. You should totally use it.
I update these every Monday around 2:30pm GMT.

The prominent member page is composed of the "Spaceship Users" on the forum. Every so often a few of us toss around names and some people get elected.

Prominence in the competition and the community are generally the factors taken into account, with a helping of whim.

Y'know asking for spaceships is like asking for mods. It's the last way to get it, depending on what we decide your grounds for it are. It'll probably be something silly and virtually impossible for that person on a person-by-person basis. (As in I don't see CF getting overall red any time soon. XP)
<Tails> also "GET BLUE SPHERES" on a black-and-white TV remains the best special stage of all time

<Achlys> wat ave you done!
<Spinballwizard> apparently killed your h key

How about doing a Hall of Fame? It could have photos of the most memorable players and some comments made by the site's admins about them.

Just an idea...
