what did you do to get the time? I've tried all the unnatural ways of attaining the records that I can think of......how do you get that time?

I have 1 question- how did you figure this out? I read through it, but I have absolutely no idea about how you found this out without getting inside information from the sonic team....but maybe you did have information from sonic team...or did you?

I was playing around in CC2 while trying to collect Chaos drives, and all of the sudden I got warped back to CC after leaving Chao World.

This was definitely an odd reaction, so as I always do, I made it my intention to find out why this occurred.  In the process, I figured it could be used to completely destroy the existing time (which was 2:04.15 at the time).  After a few more trials (while I was locked up in a state of experimentation), I found each successive timesaver in the order I explain them to you.

Then after I had lowered the time significantly enough, I simply told everyone online "0:07.49 CC1", with little reaction.  A few days later, when I found the the Somersault Jump could be used to lower the time to 6, I started working on the walkthrough you just read.

But why does it warp you to CC1, when you were on CC2 before?

I read the guide, it seemed like the game warped him to cc2, unless I'm misinterpreting it....

But if it takes you back to CC2 then how do you reach the Goal Ring?

You start out in CC2.

Upon going to Chao World, your mission number is set to 1, and nothing else changes.

Then when you leave Chao World, your level is "Cannon's Core" and your mission number is "1"...so you get warped to that level.

Obviously when you're in mission 1, there is a Goal ring, so hit it.

Ah right... gotcha.

Well, I'd try this out, but I loathe CC. I mean, I've only played it once, because I had to to beat the game. And it'll be a while until I go back there...

I once got a time of 1:30-ish (or something like that... it's been ages since I played) by somehow starting Cannon's Core on Sonic's section. Until I read that (I first saw it a few months ago, I think), I had no idea how I'd done it. It's annoying that it messed up my saved record time, though; I prefer to keep it fully legit where possible, without exploiting bugs. Or "features", if you choose to call them that. :P

If you need to, you can always use two save files.

I was correcting the person (to lazy to check who it was) who said Route 101 had a similar SC.
