I understand.

I think that if you agree B. Hatfield it's cool of your part to defend his point, but I think that he should be here too.
If you don't want to argue anymore, no problems. But he need to give an explanation or admit he invented those records.

And if he doesn't show up, he's admitting, because he knows about this discussion.

I don't have an explanation. The only games I use any kind of strategy on is the Advance games and on boss fights on Shadow. I just go through the levels as fast as I can and hope to God that I broke the record. If you believe that much that they're fake, then nothing I can say can change your mind. If you wanna take em down, go ahead, because even though you won't believe it, I still know that I broke those records legitimately, and as long as I know that inside, I could care less what anyone else thinks.

It seems everyone makes a big deal of records out of nowhere only if the user in question has more than 1 stat submitted before the record.

An explanation would change. That would prove I'm wrong and that you actually did those records. But you don't have an explanation.

Let's put things together: you said you don't have an explanation for that time. That means you made a pretty straight run with no tricks or glitches included, because if you had used them you would remember, right?
You CAN'T get 19'97'' in QQ1 playing that way. That's why you don't have an explanation.

i couldnt remember the last digit. i just knew it was in the 6, 7, and 8 area. i just kinda guessed on that last digit, but the rest of the time is accurate.

Um, hello? Do you even read my posts? All I could remember is it was 19.9something. Its like what F-Man (I think thats who it was) said. Who really cares about that last digit?

Well, aside from you, at least.

If you can't remember a certain digit, the courteous thing to do is make it a nine.  And if it's Sonic CD, doesn't Time Attack mode track it anyway?

...you were using Time Attack, right?

Hmm... I'm starting to get skeptical about his records, too.  His Lethal Highway (Dark) record on Shadow, he told me in a PM he used Chaos Control, which I have yet to figure out how it could save time there.  I was defending him before, but now I'm starting to lean toward the majority.

Thorn came up with a good point that I haven't thought. How can you not have sure about your time? The Time Attack saves your time in a top 3 when you finish a level.

this is why if you forget your exact time it's best to not submit it and try again, because they seem to have a system that tells whether it's impossible to get that time or not. And it's generally not possible to get a record without some sort of strategy, which you fail to explain  so people get suspicous(sp?)

Either BHatfield21 is a bullshitter or a dumbhead. Forgetting the obvious + the rules, making explanations that are a "I'm dumb, and I don't give a damn what you think" plea, and, best of all, coming out of nowhere with this stuff, gives me the idea that he is one of what I said in the first sentence. I can already tell that he's a suspicious character and not someone to play nice to.

BHatfield, you have 3 options.

1. Plead guilty. (May not be possible without below option, depending on circumstances.)
2. Do the above, but leave after being shot by the admins.
3. Reveal your strategies and see what your "luck" brings you.

Do one of these. Now.

This is why I keep a times notebook. So I don't have to rely on memory when I go from console to computer to submit.

I keep my submissions on a piece of paper before recording them. I agree with Psyborg that something's not right.

Until I got a laptop, I had to do that to remember a couple Shadow stats (the 2 final levels) and for all Rings and Scores divisions for 2-D Sonic games (and Times for Sonic 1, 2, 3, and S&K) when I wasn't on.  Now, since I have a laptop and am on it if I'm not doing something else, once I get a stat, I submit it right away (this was the exception for The Biolizard in SA2B, since I got it when submissions were down, so I wrote it down).

I asked him to PM me but he didn't answer yet, and probably never will.

If I had any doubt about which one would be, I don't have it anymore.
He thought he could put any time that comes to his head, thinking that nobody would ask how he did the times or find that he invented them. Wrong.
He didn't make that "unintentionally". He's a bullshitter and a careless person, and his actions prove it.

My times book was, of course, TSC-famous. And by that I mean it appeared in TSCA. Which everybody played.

I haven't used it for a while though, starting when it became apparent the times in there were a year out of date. And didn't have space for ring divisions.
