I think the 2 categories for some Chaotix stages refers to the extra missions. Chaotix extra missions keep track of your score. However, any extra mission that is basically "acheive your objective within a ccertain time" (which includes all extra team Sonic missions) can be cut out of competition. If we're adding extra score missions we can add these ones to the score bracket.
1. Seaside Hill
2. Ocean Palace (will be a difficult mission to do well at)
3. Power Plant
4. Casino Park
5. Bingo Highway
6. Bullet Station
7. Lost Jungle
8. Hang Castle (see #2)
9. Mystic Mansion
10. Final Fortress

Update to Charts:

-Riders:

1. All Ring-Based missions removed.
2. All eggFL's stats are now updated.
3. All of my stats are now updated.

Thanks for the help, magnum12. SJ, is that what you had in mind? If so, I can start making charts if you guys wish to show your support for this proposal.

BTW, I was doing some runs in SA2B yesterday and it came to me, how come the site doesn't have categories for Chao Races? Is it b/c it's kinda unfair - if so, in what way? I'm just asking.

Because, where's the fun in taking hours to get an all-A Chao, growing his stats the highest possible, and just let it race for 5 minutes to get approximately the same time that everyone else who went through it (assuming they didn't cheat) off by a few centiseconds depending on who got luckiest with how much stats the chao grew each level? Not to mention how different it works on DC.

This would be even worse than Shuffle stages competition.

Note:  All my stat fill-ins will appear here.

Sky Troops:  352
Iron Jungle:  248
Space Gadget:  419
Lost Impact:  400
GUN Fortress:  317
Black Comet:  164
Lava Shelter:  313
The Last Way:  272 (As Charmy would say, "It's a warzone!")

Finally... I've got ALL the Chaos Emeralds! ring submissions for this game!
Later, I'll compare stats to see who the leader would be.
edit: I've calculated my totals.  My total ring score is 7233, magnum's total ring score is 7297, and SJ's ring score is 910.
edit: Current overall rankings:

1st:  magnum12 (8 points)
2nd:  Groudon199 (14 points)
3rd:  Shadow Jacky (?? points)

Currently, SJ would have blue rank, magnum would have white rank (obviously), and I think I'd have orange or red (depending on percentage).  magnum has 15 ring records, I have 11 ring records, and SJ has 1 ring record.

Mad Matrix: 330 (lost 10 from a firewall) This stage is annoying to RA
Final Haunt: 246
Last Way: 310. Not as bad to RA as I thought since you get 1 more minute than I thought you did.
Well, that's every level finished.

Groudon, you know theres a Key FAQ at gamefaqs right?

I dont know if I want to stick with rings in Shadow, some stages have been pissing me off lately when I tried and I would either get hit or miss a box with rings in it, or if I get the box, some of the rings would be gone before I get to them or they go into walls near the box (yeah I could carry the box, but I forget).

Also for Chaotix Extra scores...it just occured to me that the tables in the game do save each score separately from mission 1 and 2.  It would definately change up some things for extra missions.  So I do agree with Magnum's chart.

-* Chaotix Missions Scores:
Seaside Hill: 48690
Ocean Palace: 50620
Power Plant: 55100
Casino Park: 37790
Bingo Highway: 41310
Bullet Station: 31500
Lost Jungle: 46030
Hang Castle: 37800
Mystic Mansion: 33140
Final Fortress: 83360
Note: If we're putting this division in, the Team Blast Glitch needs to be banned. Seriously, its a skill less technique that's easily abused for SH competition in general. As far as extra score goes, the easiest stages to exploit with it are the stealth missions and Final Fortress.
-Special Stages (the controls are just plain terrible in these, especially when compared to the S2 stages they're based on) Note: I was only recording most links total, so the other 2 teams are significantly lower.
Most links: (Sonic) 103
Most links (Rose): 153
Most links (Chaotix): 262
Bonus Stage 1 (Sonic): 57780
Bonus Stage 1 (Rose): 58870
Bonus Stage 1 (Chaotix): 66270
Bonus Stage 2 (Sonic): 36090
Bonus Stage 2 (Rose): 47180
Bonus Stage 2 (Chaotix): 48990
Bonus Stage 3 (Sonic): 27430
Bonus Stage 3 (Rose): 36430
Bonus Stage 3 (Chaotix): 33720

cant believe you did Bingo Highway magnum...

another thought, if these 2 are going to be slpit up, would it the mission 1 scores be left alone?  I mean, to get the most out of those missions for scores, most of the time you end up playing the entire stage rather than just playing the Extra mission for the item searches.

Also, what is going to stop people from using TGB if its not banned?  This would be a good time just for the extra scores, but its kinda late for everything else.  I use it sometimes, but only if there isn't another alternative to what my plan is for the stage.  I never abuse the mess out of it though and also the damn thing is tricky to use consistently in the first place.  Hell, most times its faster if your power character is built up enough to take down people fast...but on the other hand since time does stop while its being done, it can have different results.

Well anyway, another question about TGB, what about those that use it for Chaotix RAing?  I really cant see how most of the time you can get 999 ring counts without it.

Also I did Seaside Hill to see if there would be a difference for most stages and it seems it would be for item missions because you would have to go out of your way to get all items meaning more time is being wasted for less of a time bonus.  I had gotten 64-65000 as opposed to my 67740 (which needs to be improved).

It is possible to get 999 without TBG, so it doesn't affect RAing. All it really does there is make your run a lot faster, so it would be a good exception to a TBG ban.
Bonus Stage 4 (Sonic): 44070
Bonus Stage 4 (Rose): 52840
Bonus Stage 4 (Chaotix): 54670
Bonus Stage 5 (Sonic): 33800
Bonus Stage 5 (Rose): 40480
-Most Links (Sonic): 206
Most Links (Rose) 249
Most Links (Chaotix) 262

well, what stages can it be done in?...because that was one reason why I didn't want to bother with Chaotix Rings was that I would have to use TB on every damn enemy I came across.

Has it occured to you guys that you can continually Thunder Shoot to build up your meter and it's technically not TBG?

And even so, if you put a rule in place saying something along the lines of "you cannot artificially increase your Team Blast meter", if you miss a Thunder Shoot during your run it's technically void.

Opinions?

you know, sometimes I would do that or even swtich to power and do the same.  Dont know which does it faster, but with some luck, a power character can build up the gauge mighty fast with only 3-5 power (experienced this in Mystic Mansion).

but, TBG does it faster...still, I dont know >_<

Well I would like to congradulate on knuckles_sonic's improved recording.  I just watch your Grand Metro run and even though I had to grab it from google video (which increases the file size for some reason...) it came out nice.  As long as I can see what was going on and such.

If you still want some pointers, I could help you still.

-Missing a Thunder Shoot would not make a run void since continually using it is a natural way to build the TB gauge up. The best analogy I could use for the Thunder Shoot method is to compare it to rapid use of light punches in Marvel vs Capcom to quicly build up the super gauge. They're both natural because they don't exploit any glitches. Artifically building it up would only imply the use of glitches such as the TBG.
-To answer Shadow Jacky's question about what builds up the TB gauge fastest and how power characters build up quickly, it depends on the enemy type and number of them. Against large swarms of minor enemies, flight formation is best. Against groups of enemies with high hp or shields, power formation is best and here's why. Using the MvC analogy again, think of the answer in terms of chaining a really big combo together, which builds up the super gauge quickly. When power formation gets TB filled up really quickly, its because your getting lots of hits to your combo. The AOE (area of effect) for the explosions also contributes hits to other guys near the original target. The guys with shields are like the equivilent of somebody blocking all of those hits, since comboing an enemy that turtles builds up the super gauge faster than a combo that connected normally (invincible sections of their bodies don't count).

Whoa! Lots of posts to sift through. Gimme some time fellas. I've been busy working on Super Monkey Ball Adventure, I've  ignored my PC for a while - and FYI, most reviews are wrong about majority of the game; I can hardly believe I finished Story Mode in like 4 days - not straight.

Anyway, bare with me.

EDIT:magnum, all stats updated. Thanks for all your support. 'Ppreciate it. I have to get off soon but I'll try to get back online sometime tomorrow if I can but I can't make promises. magnum, question, you got 330 on Mad Matrix but acc. to my chart, you got like 377 (I believe). Did I make a mistake somewhere down the road?

EDIT 2: Hey! Thanks SJ. I appreciate it. Liked my video, huh? Well there's a LOT more on my PC I need to put up. I have another one to submit for SA2B - a RA. It wouldda been better if I didn't have to scale it down a bit and I didn't have to do it on Google Video. From now until the new TSC, I'll be going with G. Video until the new TSC, apparently, will have no Video restrictions.

EDIT3: magnum, I'll get to your SH SS stats next time I'm online. That I can promise. Until then, I'll leave you guys to work this whole Chaotix Mission thing out cause I'm totally lost as ot what the final verdict is. As it stands, should I make a chart for these missions? What stages (other than the self-explanatory BINGO Highway, am I right?) are we going to omit? Thanks for your help guys and I'm hoping this thing will get resolved.

EDIT 4: Sorry, guys, forgot to mention. On the idea of Google Video from SJ, I took videos of SS for Heroes. I may post em up on Google sometime. Anyway, I'll provide links when I do.

Why are we omitting Bingo Highway? Is there something I'm missing, since from a score attacking perspective, it seems like a normal "find more of the chips mission" to me.
The stages that need to be omitted due to merely being a mission 1 with an added time limit are the following:
1. Grand Metropolis
2. Rail Canyon
3. Frog Forest
4. Egg Fleet
