Spinner Bonuses - Spinner Bonuses
Submitted by SkyLights
The spinner in this game is extremely important to the score and ring divisions due to the fact that, well, it gives you stuff. However, on first glance, there's no possible way to manipulate this spinner in order to get it to do what you want. However, you CAN get it to do what you want.
First, for the sake of content, I'll describe what the spinner symbols mean.
SPINNER TYPES:
Eggman - If you see this one, you obviously haven't hit the spinner yet.
Flicky - The most utterly useless one you can get. It does... nothing. You're doing something wrong if you keep these when you score/ring attack.
Sonic - As Sonic, this spinner gives you an extra life. As Tails, this spinner awards you 10,000 score points.
Tails - As Sonic, this spinner awards you 10,000 score points. As Tails, this spinner gives you an extra life.
Ring - This will add 10 rings to your current ring count total.
Chaos Emerald - This will make it so you start off the next level with 50 rings.
Knuckles - This will award you with one extra continue.
Now, the spinner payout depends on two variables -
1. The number of rings you have. Specifically, the first digit of your ring total is what really matters.
2. The number of times you were given a life by collecting 100 rings. This variable isn't limited to just a single level, but carries onto the next.
Now, the payouts come in 8 sets holding 10 possibilities each. You start off at the first set, and each time you gain a life via 100 rings, your possibilities change and you move onto the next set. At the 8th life, you go back to the first set. That's pretty much the basics. Here's the sets:
